Fix fighter/bombers

The genuine spam of fighters carrying bombs that are faster than the actual bombing aircraft is ridiculous, plz fix, it is genuine hell. I literally cannot play a single more match with half of the team being F-104 TAF’s bombing like noobs…

Mfw fighter used as bomber:

The best course of action would be to make them cost more than a bomber (with bombs) but that also would end up making many planes with guided ordinance hell to acquire which is sad cause that’s the entire point of said ground ordinance and by that tier there’s no more bombers.
On a side note, thank you for reminding me edgerunners exists

Just air btw, no SP

ohhhh mb, at that tier with ARB there’s not many dedicated bombers tbf and the strike aircraft are usually non-afterburning (with some exceptions such as in the Tornado series). The spam of them is a bit of an issue but sadly they’d have to remove those vehicles in their entirety. If they stopped making said vehicles, however, noobs would have to actually learn air combat. Also btw the 104 series is already really fast just an fyi so its going to be beating most strikers for a while. All in all if they don’t know combat they’re kinda just dead weight and end up dying really soon after or far before they get their bombs off

MiG-27 is my current case aside of the AJ/AJS-37

best option is limit the teams for 4 max, or, make more bases to bomb

surprised the MiG-27 would be getting beat by the 104, the Viggens however make some sense. More bases is a more sound answer than a limiter cause it would displace a lot of players from the game really quick if they had to fight for their bomb load and it would congest the matchmaker if it was lobby-based. More bases helps to get rid of the people just loitering waiting for a base to respawn and hopefully those players return with an air to air load.

My soul hurts when I see a P51H used as a base bomber

A stripped down MiG-23 is gonna beat a rocket pencil, yeah.

see its a battle of the Superior, Comrade Stalin’s engineering versus the inferior, weakling “engineering” of the “free world”, an IL-2 loaded with a 12000kg bomb could very easily defeat this “Rocket pencil” but nooo, Gaijin is too scared to allow it

Serious - I haven’t played any of the floggers in over 3 months now so I completely forgot their performance if I’m being completely honest

the “Flying balcony” isnt capable of such things

even stripped of weapons and fuel, its still a chore to get it to go past 1.15 mach at around 1.5-3.0 km off the deck

forgot to mention 4yo wallet warriors ruin the game around these times

Balconies are more aerodynamically sound than most no.2 pencils

I used to play the ML a bunch and it always felt like it sped up too quick/hard, though aren’t the 27s more alike to the first variants?

Its akin to a MiG-19, a brick with wings. Doesn’t accelerate well, turn well, or get and stay fast.

honestly at that point just get an 18 year old with a strong arm to shotput the thing and it would likely end up going faster and farther than it would under its own power

Seeing the soviet Olympic teams give promise to that

Soviet jets never needed engines, just fans, hairspray, lighters, and Olympic 42x gold medalist Ivanov Ivanovitch

Keep in mind this isnt a spaded version of the plane, it may perform much better than my current experience

Tbf that’s about all F-104s are good for. The real issue is with Mig-21s and 23s base bombing.

I think that gaijin just needs to decrease the base respawn timer, or make better and more rewarding non bombing PvE objectives.

RB EC would also be nice.

Brain blast, make fighters’ bombs still take out the bases, but at like, a quarter of the rewards, no, eighths!

People who bomb in the MiG-23 honestly need to be put down. You don’t get a bomb computer but you get some of the most fun missiles at the tier and you choose to hold down WEP and keep the circle on the base marker.

That’s a psychological fallacy If I’ve ever heard one, forced to bomb = hate to bomb; option to bomb = love to bomb
