True, i dont see why they dont just add hellfire Ls but just nerf the seeker.

Its a better hellfire. Its crap but its better than nothing, the real reaspn why the chinese need it is cause otherwise they have shit cas. But even than that is easily fixed by j10b, j16 et cetera
It’s like a side grade to hellfire, advantage being 200 mm extra pen for damage, and better chance at hitting moving target, it is slower by like 100m/s but the more stable trajectory and longer sustainer keeps it going. Only issue is 8 carried + 8 TY90 vs a loadout of sth like 16+4. Also the rwr and lack of HMS sucks.
Newer CAS won’t exactly solve China’s issue, since they basically don’t have anything viable in game other than C704KG or Chinese Spice, otherwise it’s all like 100km IIR stuff.
Both of those are viable choices for modern cas, certainly better than the us right now as were stuck with mavs and shitass hellfires until gajin wakes up and realizes that whilst yes slam is faster and much longer range than maverick its still a su sonic easy to intrecept missile which is ultimately likely worse than kh38mt.
Cruise missiles for the Viper?
