Finishing 2nd place on winning team yet <70% activity

I guess i just need to stop trying to win the matches and just sit somewhere and fire my gun every 60sec or so.

8 kills and finish 2nd on the winning team gives my 69% activity. I give up trying to complete that second challenge on the battlepass.

Activity is determined basically by comparing your score to the top guy on your team’s score, so even finishing 2nd wont matter if you have half his score, this is all going by what I remember reading about so disclaimer

I don’t think that’s correct. I think it compares your score to time played and active time.

Alright. So i guess the best way to be active is to go hide for a few minutes after getting a couple kills.

Edit: that seems to work lol. I got 2 kills then sat in a corner for a couple minutes. Got 68% activity.

If you died after the 2 kills your activity would be probably 89%.

Doesnt seem like it.

First match i got 8 kills then died like 20sec after the last kill. 69%
Second match, i get 2 kills then hide for a few minutes before dying. 68%

Like mentioned above you must be the first with the score, ot at least very close to the first one, to get good activity before dying.
When i play bombers, it happens i make my points at the end of the match, and even if i am on the top of the score, i will receive 56% of activity.

That doesnt seem like much of a factor.

For the first match, when i died i had almost twice the score of the second place person.

The only real difference between the two games, outside of total score, was the first match was me playing until i died while the second was me sitting still for a few minutes doing nothing before dying.

Do you only play one vehicle and leave once you die once?

I think activ playtime might be compared to match length as well, not at all sure though.

In both cases, yes.

I dont think it cares about total match length since when i leave, it tells me my activity %.

Seems to mostly just care about how long you exist in the match.

makes sense.

I’ve found that i generally get higher activity percentage when using multiple vehicles, not sure why though.

I remember that in the past, during events, I used the R3 T20 to get the base capture achievements, but I also got the critical hit achievements, and even as a bonus, if we won the match, it counted towards the 10-match win achievement, since capturing a base and damaging several tanks gave me over 70% activity. All of that in about three or four minutes of the match, then I’d die and move on to the next match.

Gaijin addressed Activity calculation in a post about “Planned Economy Changes in July 2021”:

“We decided to change this algorithm so that it rewards players who play longer within the same battle and maintain their skill level throughout the session. Now, to achieve 80% activity, you need to be in battle for the median time (by mode) and have the median rate of earning points during this time (by mode). And to get activity above 80%, both conditions must be met, i.e. play longer than the median time and earn points during this time at a rate higher than the median.”

Unfortunately, the “median time” metric doesn’t seem to take into account a player’s play time relative to the duration of a specific battle. If the battle had taken longer while you remained alive you’d have received a higher activity with the same score.

Yeah, it seems like that is the case. I figured it would be based on how active you are while in the match. But that isnt true.

Oddly enough it just teaches me to be more passive. Why try to be active when i can get more activity/rp by doing less.
