As far as I know…
- MiG-21SPS-K(R-60M)
- MiG-21SMT/MF(R-60M)
- Yak-38/38M(R-60M)
- ROCAF F-5A(AIM-9P-4 or P-5)
- ROCAF F-5E(AIM-9P-4 or P-5)
- A-7E(AIM-9L)
- F-4F(AIM-9L)
- Jaguar GR.1A(AIM-9L)
- Harrier GR.3(AIM-9L)
- Mitsubishi T-2(AIM-9L/M)
- Mitsubishi F-1(AIM-9L/M)
As far as I know…
This is true but now they are a full br braket apart. Meaning these 9.3 planes see at maximum only 4 of these attackers with all aspect capability
Correct!
HOWEVER:
The R-60 is a much less potent AAM than the AIM-9L, bleeding energy much more than the 9L and having dramatically shortened range. Countering an R-60 is two times easier than countering an AIM-9L. Not only that, but all of the 9.3s without CMs will be facing LESS of these AAMs. This is a great change and a step in the right direction.
doesnt matter, they still shouldnt be seeing them EVER… they have no counter to them. stop trying to argue like this is a good thing or its OK because its not.
REMOVE them and it solves this bs problem
So what about planes like the buccaneer which hold a similar role/capability? Just have to keep slugging off the ground?
also lol at more phantoms being the same GRB BR as the Sea Harrier FRS.1 with SARH, more speed, more turn, more bombs… xD
If they didn’t care about these attackers being competitive, then why does the article say they’re moving the spawns closer in RB? That buff does not apply in sim because everyone has to take off from the same airfield. Thus, a BR increase only hurts players of these planes in sim.
so how do you counter a headon or a furball where you simply dont see the missile? and have no CCMs to use anyway… stop arguing like there is a defence for this.
The A-6E is a ground attacker. It’s not supposed to be good at air combat, for literally everyone else but these ground pounders this is an amazing change. You still get the chance at bombing your bases and exploding some AI ground targets and the F-104As, MiG-19s, F-100s, F3H-2s, and G.91s don’t have to face you as often.
A good pilot with enough foresight will see a ground pounder and actively go out of their way to deny a good launch angle. I kill Su-25s in the subsonic Ariete without any issue because I make sure to never take headons and avoid giving them a good launch.
Good call Gaijin!
I agree with you but thats not happening. 4 Atackers with allaspect missles are managble. In total there are only 8 all spect missles now on each team that is something a flareless plane can deal with it. It requires however situatuinal awarness what a lot of people are missing
stop arguing skill vs something that is designed to have a counter… flares exist for a reason, a jet without flares shouldnt be facing anything with all aspect missiles ever. its a free kill an the fact your even trying to defend this with a skill argument shows you have lost your marbles. go play any of those jets and I bet you will still get clapped out of nowhere by a missile you couldnt counter. its going to happen no matter how good you are
Was thinking the same thing. Gotta love the 1 sided buffs there.
You can samewhat counter these missles. 1. Fire your AIm9b/R3s at the missle. 2. Take rocket pods and fire them but this requires from the player some awarness of is suroundings. This is a good change !
the fact your still ignoring the free kill potential these get is mind blowing…
I have played the 9.3 region extensively, and I die to guns more often than AAMs. Literally any AAM you don’t see and don’t react to will kill you. It’s called being caught off-guard. Removing the AAMs from these jets doesn’t make any sense as they do rely on them in game modes like ground. Moving these planes up is a good move.
lmfao so your expected to take extra weight in a fighter to counter an attacker… great logic
Yeah, it was hard enough getting to a base in the 2B as it was, now you gotta deal with this stuff lol.
That’s just Britain getting shafted again XD
you mean the same ground mode they are spammed in also… your still defending the free kill potential these have against counterless jets
