I sometimes play flight simulators and find it inconvenient that the F-16 helmet-mounted display (HMD) doesn’t show critical combat information, such as:
- Aircraft heading
- Airspeed
- G-force
- Altitude
- Lock-on weapon type
This often forces me to shift my view back to the main HUD during engagements, which can be distracting and makes it harder to maintain situational awareness in fast-paced combat.
I’d really appreciate it if this information could be integrated into the HMD view, or made toggleable in the settings for better usability.

The HMD information is set up to be accurate to real-life. So if it was on the F-16s HMD IRL, then it can be reported and can be added.
@joshje100 has been compiling a list of HUD / HMD related bug reports, so you can see if the information you are after has been reported previously or not
But if you arent after maximum immersion and just want that information to follow your head around but dont want to use the info in the top left. There is always WTRTI. The pro version allows GUIs to be added to the game, that would display all you are after

Yeah the JHMCS system present on the F-16’s, F-15’s, F/A-18’s is currently missing the locked radar target marker.
There’s a report already made here:
JHMCS missing radar symbology

Thanks a lot for the helpful info, Morvran_ and joshje100!
I didn’t realize the missing radar target marker on the JHMCS had already been reported — I’ll check that out and follow the report.
Also really appreciate the tip about WTRTI!
Thanks again!
