Falcon SPAA needs to be 8.0 again

Here we go again with “set in stone”. It is a GAME. Plenty of examples of tanks with same cannon using different ammo. Versions of the M36 using the exact same gun (90mm M3 cannon) each have access to different types of ammo. It is hardly a stretch to apply this to a vehicle that was completely prototype.

But here’s the question no one advocating for the BR change has yet to answer…

How does moving the Falcon from 8.0 to 8.3 solve the “problem”?

This is how the game currently works.

You are still talking about removing APDS. I, as I have been, am talking about the idea of "nerfing’ the APDS, which isn’t possible.

This is the second time I have told you this.

the only issue with the falcon now is that its 8.3 with the apds belt. if the belt gets removed, i can guarantee it will stay 8.3 as now no one else will play it to reduce its statistics (if gaijin will even reduce it in br if it has bad stats) and i dont trust gaijin to remove the belt and put it at 7.7 again by themselves.

the only one that is actually good is the low tier one… Killing prop and early jets.

i once remember there being discussions of the falcon (either on the old forums or this one, i dont remember) that would give it the optical tracking system that other vehicles like iirc the bmp-2m and 2s38 have, based off of what it had IRL. now im not sure how true this is but theres a possibility, gunjob, flame, morvan or devil might know what im talking about

No it is not. I’ve run across Maus, Pamther II and Pz.Kpfw. Churchill - none of which were used by the Germans in battle.

If you are going to cherry-pick and use “historical” features that support your view but ignore those that don’t support your view I really can’t take anything you post seriously.

And… you never answered my question.

Zilch to do with the current conversation.

We are talking about ammo values being changed. This is the third time I’m telling you this.

Because it doesn’t pertain to me, at all.

Just because YOU don’t think ammo should be changed doesn’t make it a fact. And you totally discount the possibility of using DIFFERENT ammo in a vehicle that never went into production.

I’ll ask a third time - why does Falcon need to be moved to 8.3 and how will that move change anything? (waiting for you to deflect once again…)

And you thinking the Falcon will suck as an spaa at 8.0 is at odds with the Sidam 25. Sidam - BR 8.3 - has 25mm guns and no radar. The only advantage it has on Falcon is better turret traverse. Rate of fire and belt capacity all in the Falcon’s favor.

No, quite literally gaijin does not do this as a rule.

Not whats happening. You are still, 4th post now, off the plot.

I never said anything about it going to 8.3, are you ok? Refer to:

The SIDAM has auto-guidance on its guns, the falcon does not. You do not know what you’re talking about.

What? It’s cute that you think you have influence over what Gaijin may or may not consider.

The Optical Detection does not give advance warning of CAS like radar does and still requires manual aiming.

The Sidam has weaker guns, slower ROF, and is easier to spot due to the 122% visibility vs 89% for the Falcon.

And FYI… Gaijin has the horsepower for the Falcon incorrect - should be 240 (the same as the FV433 Abbot)

I am going off of their 12 years of development, and what they have stated their rules to be.

  1. Obviously, nobody said it performed a radars task. I said it gave you auto-track like the M163, Shilka, M247, Gepard, or any other comparable spaa at similar BR has.

  2. The SIDAM does have auto-tracking, such as what the others have. It just uses OPTICAL TRACKING instead of radar, as you have already stated.

No, not really.

Barely, 550 rpm vs 650 and the SIDAM is purely better at anti air because it can auto-track.

This literally only applies to arcade… and even then, barely matters at all.

Prove it

Statistics say otherwise

Well I use it in arcade, and they increased the BR for both realistic and arcade - so yes, it does factor in.

Statistics of what? What are you even talking about?

Arcade does not matter at all in this thread.

This has nothing to do with using DIFFERENT ammo in the gun.

FIFTH TIME, FROM THE TOP:

YOU have said in this thread, MANY TIMES, that you would want to CHANGE the AMMO VALUES for the APDS ROUND. This is NOT POSSIBLE because gaijin DOES NOT DO THIS.

As far as REMOVING THE AMMO ENTIRELY, it is VERY CLEAR to people with eyeballs and functioning brains that I have said that was fine already so long as the vehicle ends up at 7.0-7.3 br, and not 8.0 or 8.3.

Are you still confused?

Below is from my post of 5 hours ago…

Just because YOU don’t think ammo should be changed doesn’t make it a fact. And you totally discount the possibility of using DIFFERENT ammo in a vehicle that never went into production.

??

also, as I already said:

You slide in a bunch of other quotes to deflect from my last post… not surprised.

My underlined part was not about removing that aspect entirely. It was about replacing it.

I’m done discussing this with you.
