Falcon SPAA needs to be 8.0 again

Now that the APDS has been removed, can it drop down to 7.7 again please?

If the AP ammo is still a problem can we just remove the AP/AP/AP/HE belt?

It needs to lose the APHE, personally I think it should stay at 8.0 given it has some form of tracking (albeit not great at times) but people will not stop using it as a TD. Once it loses its way to fight and lol pen tanks then I think it could probably move down. Unfortunately it’s small and still has the ability to nuke tanks via snail magic and aphe.

ZSU-37-2 has radar and 86mm of penetration at 7.7, the Falcon has 53mm of penetration but a higher rate of fire. If the AP belt is removed that lowers its AT performance.

The ammo is also wrong.

Shouldn’t be SAP to begin with.

i said this two years ago…

the SPAA problem has not changed. nor has my opinion lol.

I’ma be real the ZSU doesn’t have lol pen aphe esq ammo nor really good accuracy but that’s another topic

The APHE wonk isn’t exclusive to the Falcon but it’s just snail spaghetti

Not exactly, some SPAA just don’t work as SPAA, removing their TD ammo kills their existence.

I do believe some vehicles should lose their ammo but some should keep it. The falcon losing it would allow for a solid SPAA for 7.7

It has 53 mm pen AT TEN m at 0 degrees angle.
100m at 30 degrees it drops to 39mm pen.
Anyone getting destroyed because of that deserves it.
There are spaa at BR 4.0 with better pen.

There is no sane reason to leave it 8.3 (it’s currently NOT at 8.0).

then move them to where they are an adequate SPAA. AA vehicles shouldnt be dictating the ground vehicle meta at all. We need to force that crappy game mechanic abuse out of existence.

Im sick of seeing people die to flakpanzer 341s, gepards and whatever else because gaijin forgot that ground battles is supposed to involve tanks

Yeah? And I can occasionally lol pen an IS2 frontally with HE shells on an Ostwind, with 53mm pen I can be a rat and kill most light armor MBT’s or literally every German vehicle at 8.0

Yeah some SPAA just aren’t good at SPAA (some follow their IRL track record too well lol)

and then theres 1980s radar spaa facing ww2 planes because player skill…

We have a 1964 radar already doing that but it’s also insanely mid and it’s going to lose its stabilizer which will make it either drop in BR or stay 7.7 lol

Again some vehicles though just aren’t good, if we remove all the AP ammo on the L-62 where does that go? 13° turret traverse with 120 rpm with terrible velocity.

Same goes for the ZUT-37, (ZUT literally only gets used as a TD)

no exceptions, no radar should see a ww2 plane. no AA should be a TD

Veak gonna need to disappear, same with the Zut, and L-62, neither are effective SPAA and unfortunately play the role of a LT. That’s gonna be for you to argue with snail though.

(Also what about the LVKV lol that literally is a IFV turned SPAA that’s limited by having the worse APFSDS)

ive never got the veak hate. especially as ive used crappy radar on falcon and on the M163 which ive seen people cry about the radar so many times. the bofors 40mm is an adequate AA gun still for the BR

bad radar is still a radar. Veak also gives a lead which is better than just eyeballing it every time. From my own experience with bad radars on SPAA it is 1000% a player problem

Veaks problem is fire rate, reload, sub par velocity for its BR mixed with tracers.

It’s a better TD than SPAA and now that it’s going to lose its stabilizer let’s just say good luck shooting a target when you’ve got ZSU-57-2 accuracy but with slightly better fire rate

Personally the radar means nothing to me velocity and fire rate is far better. If my velocity is bad then it forces me to hold my shot until the target essentially kills my team, my role as an SPAA can’t be completed effectively if I must wait for a target to be within bombing range at low alt.

ngl. fire rate doesnt seem too bad. Ive used the fox and scimitar as rather reliable SPAAs with only 80rpm plenty of times, however its 35% faster.

i think ive played fox and scimitar too much as i dont find having no stabiliser to be that bad of a problem no matter the vehicle

theres always the option to be moving up within your allies ranks so that you are there defending from the runs from the get go. thats how i use all SPAA (excl multi vehicle SAMs)

Eh or I could just not use the veak since it’s terrible and just ignore SPAA. I’d rather not play some mid vehicle if I can help it, especially given the veak literally has no lineup to play with unless you play it at 8.0 at which point again why would I play it?

Honestly I couldn’t care less if the veak was removed from the game or sent to 12.0 I don’t play it since it bad anyways why would I care about it now?

As for the Falcon it’s likely in a similar boat to the Veak except it actually can play 7.7 the problem is the Falcon is small and can be very rat like, kinda like the XM800T but without the speed.

I do think you’re over estimating the radar though, you need to remember the veak has the same ammo and velocity as a 2.7 tank aircraft have a lot more scary weapons and are much faster than at low tier.

If I start shooting they’ll see my slow tracer rounds and simply stay to the outskirts killing my teammates.

without the speed, trolly damage model, accuracy and everything else

Damage model? Eh I’d say they are both equally annoying at killing Smol light tank.

That’s just light tanks with no armor in general though

Seriously though not a great point to use the XM800T as the only excuse. If you hit the chassis on the Falcon with a main gun you may only take the drive at which point you’re dead.

Tanks with no to little armor are very annoying, I do wonder when they’ll get new parts to disable them
