Doesn’t need to be. The point is that it’s too effective at AT and that’s why it keeps going up. If removing HVAP is what’s needed for it to comeback down to 8.0 or even 7.7 then that’s what I’d prefer.
No one makes the same complaints about the ZSU-37-2 or the VEAK both of which have similar pen HVAP with dedicated belts and radar. They’re at 7.7, so should the Falcon.
Plus with the heavier tanks it’ll face at 7.7 its HVAP will actually be less effective.
I understand, but this is what everyone complains about. I didn’t say I agreed with it. I just said if that’s what it takes to go down in BR I’ll accept it.
But we shouldnt have to, its bias against Britain. The complainers should just suck it up and cope.
The Falcon does not have “AP Missiles”.
Why should the vehicle be nerfed when others exist that can fit 7.7?
you know very well he means the APDS that is in the belt… you can keep the “well ackshually” attitude to reddit where it belongs.
Falcon LOSAT variant when…
Only complaints is the zoom is shit and it’s slow as f
I think I’ve found a solution to all the SPAA problems throughout the game.
Using the HVAP/High Pen belts costs extra spawn points.
Think about it, we already do this for some planes. For example the Su-8. If you want to bring the Anti-Armor belts it costs more to spawn the plane.
Applying this to cancerous SPAAs like the Gepard to make them cost as much as tank destroyers if you equip the HVAP belt would make it far more balanced and force players to choose between a cheap SPAA for anti-air, or the full auto tank destroyer that these kinds of SPAAs turn into.
Why do you compare the Gepard with just 50 HVAP rounds to Falcon death machine? With Gepard you fire 2-3 short bursts and you’re down to 50mm pen ammo or something. Falcon massacres whole teams with its continuous HVAP containing belt. Even if its just 1:3 or 1:4…doesn’t matter considering the firing speed.
Also Falcon is much smaller and thus too good in an anti ground role to get its BR decreased. More expensive spawn points wouldn’t change anything…it would still to the things it does…whether it costs 100 spawn points more or not. Aucannon vehicles spewing around 100mm pen ammo, stabilized…toxic at low brs.
In what nonsense clownworld is 7.7 a low br?!
Falcon has 162 shots of 110mm pen in the 650 round belt. 650rpm.
The Gepard has 50 rounds of pure 127mm Pen with a 50 round belt. 550rpm.
Which means that you would need to shoot 200 rounds of the Falcon in order to match just 50 rounds of the Gepard…
SPAA BRs are messy to begin with.
Gepard is 8.3.
Chinese Gepard is 8.3 with better radar and AHEAD.
Ozelot is 9.7, Strela was 9.3 for quite some time
Indeed, but having to switch belts also often gets you destroyed from my experience
Thats not how I’d calculate this. You don’t need 50 AP rounds to kill a tank with your Falcon. One brrp is already enough to get your kill…even when Falcons just fire 1 HVAP for 3 low pen shells.
Gepards shot all HVAP ammo into the enemy with two - three short bursts. So the amount of tanks you might kill is limited. While Falcons might kill many more ground targets with its 162 HVAP / 650 shells. There are that many nuke videos with Falcons for a reason.
Hardly. AP Missiles is so blatantly off by miles that I can’t infer he meant “APDS” at all.
Stating “AP missiles from the tape” is complete nonsense. That’s not me being rude, it’s the truth.
This seems very fair, and would work to balance others like the Zsu-57-2 as well.
Again, I completely agree. I just want it to come down. Playing 7.7 and having no effective SPAA to ward off helicopters in an uptier isn’t fun.
It’s sad that the most effective SPAA option available for 7.7 British is the Fox or the G6 with proxies.
If gaijin removed the APDS and SAP, then sure
