Fakhour 90

idk, it’s pretty fun watching your F90 take down some AIM120 spammer who thought he was the big boss who could fly in a straight line to the optimal AIM120 launch ranges.

Also it should be buffed

The super ultra secret trick is to actually listen to the RWR screaming and act accordingly.

I’m also waiting for the R-73s as well. It’s kind of getting boring seeing the AIM-9P of the F-14 IRIAF just being straight up outrun by a non-flaring Eurofighter or F-15E on the deck.

The only thing it shares with the hawk is the rocket motor

What I’ve been doing lately is after the BVR fight if I have a couple left I look straight down to see if there’s anybody below me and if they’re within 9 km I launch a f90 form above

One if the easiest missiles to defeat if you listen to the RwR

Within 9KM? Damn. Most my kills are between 40-60KM out. Here’s a couple from the other night:

But I was just playing it to get the event stage out of the way. So was dumping my 4xF90 from anywhere from 60-80KM out and then gliding them in. Some games it works, some games it doesn’t, but it’s all low effort.

It’s from top down though so the missile gets to the target pretty quick and it’s pretty much active off the rail
It also kind of mitigates multi-path because of it being top down almost dead on top of the enemy

Yeah sometimes I wait for around 45 km so it hasnt bled off as much speed once the booster runs out

Just 90 degree, hug the ground and chaff, as you would against any other Fox 3

F14A IRIAF already suffers having to deal with constant uptiers to 13.7 and 14.0 facing planes with much better missiles and FM, it honestly needs a buff, 6 Fakhours would be ideal

Yeah fakours feel absolutely busted and impossible to notch/multipath until you realize that the F14 radar is headon only. This means the best strategy is simply flying away from the F14 for a second. Simply fly around in a circle once and you’re safe. It’s super effective and much less of a hassle than trying to notch with potentially a terrible RWR.

I must say… not that many planes get enough countermeasures for the br’s they are at… Like… we don’t have the current day ECM systems yet.
So, i do get his point though, just not for the Fakour, but for all missles.

I won’t say no to more F90. But i don’t really care about uptiers in it. In fact, the 14.0 are usually more likely to be at altitude and more cocky that they have the long range weapon in the AIM120. 13.0 and below are usually hugging the deck more often than not, which is not ideal.

Aim54 should be buffed. Fakour shouldnt even be in the game the likelyhood of that missile even being functional is minimal

There’s enough evidence to contradict that, it seems more than likely it’s just a Hawk with Phoenix control surfaces, and wouldn’t surprise me at all.

That’s fair considering reliable sources are very hard to come by on the missile I’ve also seen someone claim that it’s been testified from a Iranian MiG-29 with a picture that I cannot verify

The same article the picture is from claims that supposedly the Iranian mig 29s have been upgraded to 9.12 with radar and avionics on par with Mig-29M

I was the one who posted this image on the forums awhile ago, sadly someone corrected me. It’s not a Fakour 90 or any of the Iranian AAMs sadly, as much as I wish it was. I forget what it is or where the video came from, let me go look for it. I think I remember it being some kind of ASM or ARM missile, lemme go find the source
