F2A ADTW Radar issues

I have noticed problems with radar-guided misses, the ACM acquisition mode, where it does not select the target it is pointing at, selecting another that was not in the direction of the ACM. Target locking is also unstable, when selecting a target, the lock is made on another aircraft that had not been previously visualized. The radar functionalities are not working correctly, the lock on targets is easily lost in TWS modes, especially when they are close to the ground.

yep if you switch from tws to acm you have a high chance of getting a random lock which was probably found by tws… just use most of them up and go in close range combat with aam3´s…

I agree, but it’s complicated to have to count on the “chance” of getting a lock. Even so, when using normal TWS, it takes several attempts until you can select the desired target. I think premium aircraft should be extra careful, after all, they are the paid vehicles, and they should be the last to have problems. I haven’t finished researching the F2A line yet to say if it also suffers from this problem.

it seems like the lock key also triggers the target cycling resulting is acquiring a completely random target. The issue is massively reduced by using manual target selection, but it still happens from time to time but at least its usually a target close to the selected one, not on the other side of the map.

this is a bug with all aesa radars, I believe it’s the TWS ESA mode that kinda causes it

I dont have the premium I only got the techtree one…

they both have the same radar (obviously) so they probably have the same problem

ACM is not exclusive to any jet.

This is when it is possible to use ACM, because many times when trying to switch from TWS to ACM, it locks on several targets before accepting the change.
