For some reason the premium Su30s can carry 6 fox 3s and the F2 ADTW is limited to only 4 garbage fox 1s that wont get you any kills in uptiers.
Why is that? The f2 adtw carries more sophisticated weaponry in real life since it’s a testing platform.
Honestly the f2 adtw would be fine at 13.7 if it got it’s real weapons.
the F2 ADTW is supposed to represent a specific time of the F2, thats why its only limited to aim7’s and AAM3’s just like the 12.7 hornets.
If you give it AAM4’s what will be the difference between that and the 13.7 F2
Its a premium and premium are supposed to be worse than tech tree variant. You give it AAM4 and it would be same at TT F2
Whats the difference between the ja37DI f21 and the ja37DI or the mirage F1C-200 and the F1C? They are the same planes as the tech tree variants, I guess they just aren’t top tier planes.
But the F2 ADTW currently suffers a lot from this BR compression, Gaijin should either give it it’s realistic armament or do BR decompression, but they won’t probably do anything.
More often than not, the premium version is better.
Sure there are exceptions, but its not the default
There are a few planes that are as good as the tech tree variants, including the SU30 premiums. For some reason the Russian premium planes can get fox 3s, but the NATO ones carry only fox 1s, unless they are a garbage platform like the viggen
Every single 13.0 plane (except the C10) suffers from the compression caused by the 13.3 flankers, its even worse at 12.3 -12.7.
And instead of gaijin moving these 2 planes up, they moved the F15A down to further compress that br range even more. An F111 can see 4 AAM3’s in a full uptier.
And theyve ignored feedback about these planes all the way back to when they first appeared int he dev server.
The only solution is for more players to buy them and increase the compression to severe levels (like the BMpT) so gaijin can notice how bad it really is
No No, thats just a misconception, gaijin only recently started adding 13.3 fox 3 premiums into the game, i can assure you more will come for NATO this next major update
Im currently debating grabing the ADTW in the next sale because it looks like a fun 13.0 for ASB, if it got AAM-4 I probably wouldnt bother with it.
Sure the compression sucks, but the thing you have to remember is that people purchased the premium in a specific state, if they radically alter that state, then it may be very different to how it was before purchase. So long as it is balanced (and imo it is bar the compression) there isnt really any need for changes.
Gaijin really didnt put any thought in the recent BR changes. The F16 AJ is the same BR as the F15J and 0.3 BR higher in sim for some reason.
But to not avoid the topic, I genuinely think the F2 ADTW should have AAM4s like it carries irl.
Didn’t gaijin themself say premium are supposed to be worse? Well i do agree some premium are better or same to their TT counterpart but i am just going by what they said (unless i heard or it read it wrong)
More 13.3 premium would also be added to NATO TT that would carry Fox 3 as they would make gaijin good money. However this does not mean every 13.0 shoudl get fox 3 and all this could be easily fixed . Gaijin is to blame for this as they did terrible decompression. These 13.3 jets should not even be at their current BR. Giving it AAM4 would only make it go up where it would have a chance to fight against 14.7 jets
I agree with you, but carrying AAM4s would be a good change for the aircraft and I am pretty sure that most of the people that purchased the plane would not mind it getting it’s realistic armament.
Not that I am aware of, theyve only stated they wont add top tier premiums, and then consistantly do (like the Clickbait)
But they may have purchased it specifically because they wanted something around 13.0 that avoids the uptiers to 14.3/14.7. Now its 13.7 and will face those potentially constantly
I would rather fight 14.7s with fox3s in my arsenal than 14.0 planes that carry aim 120cs while only being able to carry fox 1s. And again, it’s not realistic for the adtw to not carry the aam4s
I am curious what the community thinks. The F2 ADTW is good in down tiers and awful in uptiers because of the compression.
I bought the f2 adtw for sim and if it carried aam4s it would be nice to fly when the battle rating is 13.0-13.7
I want it specifically for the 12.0-13.0 Sim lobbies to mess around with an AESA radar at that BR.
13.0 is only top for 2 days (1 rotation) max, will it really be that worth it?
No different to any other aircraft, including premiums Ive purchased in the past. AMX A-1A for example is a chore at its own BR, let alone a 0.3 uptier. As can be the Harrier T10
