Should the ADF variants get their TWS since they will get access to 120s ?
It would be better for US/Italy/China to get a new foldered MLU variants with proper top tier equipment.
Many players don’t even want to play high tier F-16s, they are overshadowed by other 13.7s and some people just don’t want to deal with the fox3 matchmaker

Idk grinding a fourth f16 seems kinda forced
Ideally we would have a modification like the one found in the 2S6 that would give you the upgrades while increasing the BR (to now proposed 13.3)
Unfortunately Gaijin has kept denying dynamic BRs based on mods so you get slop like this.
At least the Chinese MLU will be semi decent since it already has TWS.

It should already has TWS considering it will get Aım-120 which means its upgraded version but knowing Gaijin they will find a way to screw this up.
I mean im sure f16.net already says the 15 is optimised for bvr

does the v1 that the f-16 adf use even have tws irl?
If it did it would have been added to the jet already. So i dont believe it did. Its unfortunate but not much can be done about it. It doesnt even have datalink either.

There are 2 version of Block-15 ADF.
One with upgraded radar that allows to use Aim-120 with TWS and Datalink and other one with just sparrows.
Current ADF is the basic model that shouldn’t be able to fire AMRAAM, they will either add upgraded radar or will make unhistorical plane.
Youre wrong about how incompetent gaijin are on US radars.

Fairly certain they only ever leased the F-16A ADF and outfitted it with Aim-9Li and AMRAAM as a stopgap between the Tornado ADV and Typhoon as they didnt want to ugprade the ADV like Britain did

Im having trouble finding if the (V)1 had TWS or DL for the AIM-120s.

It’s one of the best site that provides really good information about F-16 family.
Also keep in mind first generation F-16’s radar didn’t have any capabilities to use Aim-120, it was only after radar upgrade that allowed them to use Fox-3 missiles.
They could get the portuguese MLU for example
Ive been finding conflicting sources and i havent really been seeing a TWS mode explicitly stated by tech manuals, operating manuals brochures, etc.
But i did find something called SAM ( situational awareness mode).
Its a Track While search mode that tracks one target and “searches” in-between for other targets.
I few of the sources i found mentioned a “Poor Man’s TWS” so im assuming this is what they meant by it.
Im sure there is someone with magnitudes of order better understanding of SAM mode and the APG-66, but it seems if the SAM mode is implemented it would be a usable alternative to TWS for a jet that isnt confirmed (from what i have read) to have TWS.
Maybe, would prefer those would go to a possible future iberian peninsula-esk TT.
The F-16A ADF is just the perfect argument for dynamic BRs

Advanced weapons enabled: Aim-9L/Aim-9Li + AMRAAM at 13.3
I like the idea but I doubt the dynamic BR would work in practice. I think it would make things much harder to balance, and some vehicles/loadouts might be abused for specific strategies, and after some the whole thing would get unfairly uptiered.
Then there’s the question about how gaijin would handle balancing it all? They already have trouble balancing the vehicles as it is. Imagine a much more complex dynamic system.
Yeah. Which is why I would propose it be limited to only certain aircraft. Under very specific conditions (i.e SARH vs ARH) and it to only be the 2 different BRs.

Well… then we might see people crying about their favourite vehicles not getting the same treatment… I would like that but I don’t see gaijin deciding on investing their time in such things.
Yeah, its extremely unlikely. Especially with additions like the Tornado F3 Late.
It would also speed up the grind
