me grinding out the italian tech tree, then gaijin drops a LEOPARD IN IT FOR NO REASON.
Stuff like this makes me stop grinding trees because im tired of grinding the same vehicles over and over.
I mean one would think that gaijin would take this leopard out and put it in the NEW SUB tree they added with the copy paste vehicles from the other tech trees right?
Yes I agree, which is why my suggestion is to make Israel and other trees like it an accessable sub-tree for multiple nations, and the vehicles which can be used in the crew slots of multiple nations, reduce TT bloat, and remove multiple different distinct nations and the crew slot grinds that accompany them.
Honestly, my positions on this subject are deeply contradictory, borderline hypocritical, and i’m incapable of articulating them clearly lol.
Like one hand, RB today is a far cry from the ‘HB’ it used to be. It’s insanely ahistorical. We often have civil war matchmaking. We have meme’s like ‘You get a Leopard, Now you get a leopard’ etc. unique national flavour is dying, and I worry making countries like Israel / China accessible to other countries in the way you describe accelerates this downfall.
But this is completely contradictory to my enjoyment of having those countries unique vehicles in the Israel tree which does the same thing. Where am i going with this? no idea. Having an internal crisis on my position here lmao.
Ideally you would have a single row of crew slots, that any nations vehicles could be placed into, but only with certain nations being able to be played together, and only in specific BR ranges/eras. For example you could bring a lineup containing WWII german and Italian vehicles, but not a lineup containing WWII german and british vehicles. Its a completely moot point though because doing any of the things I suggested would both reduce grind and reduce player frustration, which would reduce both of those things as drivers of revenue and thereby reduce the amount of money gaijin makes by mistreating the player base.
I’d expect you to notice when someone shot the ground and is then looking at you. If they’re so far away that you didn’t, you’d probably dodge it unintentionally anyways. Like, if you want the AGS to keep being the op rat it is, just say so :p
Funnily enough, just had a discussion with someone earlier where i wished for such a system. Maybe it’s too late now, and maybe we never had it initially because the games scope was way smaller then than it is now, but yeah. The crew skill grind bloat is by far the biggest grind in WT. (Especially if you play Land, Sea and Air).
And as you’d say, they’d never change it because crew skills are sooooo grindy, it surely brings in alot on people buying GE to boost it. These thousand hour crew skill grinds per nation are likely here to stay lol.
uh that isnt true as most top tier maps are in flat open fields now with no cover. and ifail to see why this is even a legitimate reason. thats like me saying you can disable the ags using russian bullets
