Im taking f14a at 12.7 for sure. Other 12.7s too like f16 AJ, F16 squadron.
Honestly even the mig29, atleast it gets 2 missles that arnt a random event.
In a dogfight, not sure but the f14a at low alt, wings out isnt too shabby.
Even compared to the F-15A that reached 12.7?
Gaijin for gods sake just add 15.3, we actually need decompression badly now, 12.3 jets are 12.7 food, 12.7 jets are su30mk horde food…

Iv spaded most TT air vics in the game.
F15a was the only vic i abandoned…its that bad.
Play a few games with that radar + sparrows and see yourself.
Paywall Ps added to grim vics like f15a would of been the move.
Upgrades to mig29, f14 etc loadouts at the same time.
Currently running the stock grind (waited until after the change to see what it’s like stock at 12.7) and every game is still just uptier after uptier. I’ve only had 2 downtiers, one to 12.3 and one to 12.0. 12.3 was only one harrier GR.7 with 4 IRCCM and everyone else was 12.7, and 12.0 was half my team in F-4S everyone else in 12.7. Every other game is either very rarely 12.7, and everything else is 13.0+.
It’s honestly so painful doing this stock. And I have no doubt the 9Ms will help it significantly, but without them it’s rough
in my case it was the extra 7Ms that did the trick.
XD the greatest crime on the forums. Claiming a vehicle, that happens to be American, has compression issues.

I had enough experience around the BR at the point i tried it to know being spaded isnt going to help. I dont mind a dodgy radar if it has HMD as many tines i fire long range 27ER 30km+ and many times lock is lost but within 20km HMD its not an issue.
F15a is just headache tackle with nothing over other vics. Save the pain.
13.3 f16s are probably in the best place of any vic in the game. If your near id just do that. Infact id prioritise the f16 over any other vic in the game.
When you don’t get immediately killed by ARH missiles or you’re actually at 12.7 it’s not bad stock. It’s just the fact that almost never happens.

It’s hard. IF you get a downtier or max br is 12.7 in ur game. Fly high, defend, and you should be good. BUT its constant uptiers to 13.0-13.7. I haven’t had a single game where 13.0-13.7 was not present. Therefore you need to play extremely cautiously. Do not attempt to go in furballs, no fox 3 and HMD. Just pick off stragglers one by one. Once it gets to a 1V2 and especially if they have fox3, pray you have enough countermeasures to last the fight. Get them to run out of missiles to then start your attack.
Just got my first true 12.7 game and it went fine, granted I only got one kill (1 aim-7 missed my other 2 got beat by faster missiles) but I actually lived long enough to do stuff. At 12.7 it’s perfectly fine and not OP.
And then very next game got a full uptier and got brutally touched.

aim-7m and aim-7f are identically
and the Aim-54C is worse in wt due to just being heavier than the Aim-54A

At this point, just fly the upgraded f15. There’s no point in flying the f15a/j unless ur a masochist. If more people played at 12.7 then it would be fun.

but unsure if worth it in the current meta, worth or nah?

They are nearly identical, there are a few subtle differences, that dont change much, but do change a little.
