I said my piece during the last f14 whine thread. The plane is fine for 13.0. It’s other planes like the su27 and f15a that shouldn’t be 13.0 but due to the absolutely ridiculous amount of compression at top tier, they got pushed down.
It really depends because IR missiles are not the only thing that determines BR and we don’t know how Gaijin will model AIM-9M-8s.
When they implemented the PL-8 with IRCCM, they intentionally did not model it correctly and added as just FOV type IRCCM.
If they modeled everythings correctly, including sparrows, 54s, it may be 14.0 in sim.
Actually your wrong the radar get better at locking capabilities and other stuff you should search up the difference and not just on wiki
Also the irst is still used by f35 and f22 witch is why dcs doesn’t have the f-14D so it’s not a gimmick

In gajin defense about the f14D it still has classified info that some jets still use today witch is probably why it’s taking longer still I hope the f14D comes especially as a tech tree vehicle tho
At the least, smin told they are planning to add Sparrowhawk HUDs and makes it F-14B(U).
I could’ve swear that the awg9 radar do have data link and the 7p do work with f14B
They did and it was tossed in the can with 17 others despite being very real and marked as not a bug
