Man, you really always show up at Tomcat Topics. isn’t it? :|
F-4EJ Kai can’t use AIM-54 and can’t carry 6 AIM-7F. while F-14 can.
Those two have similar weaponry overall but don’t ignore the difference.
You often use hyperbole when explaining, and you often ignore the differences between F-14 and ‘counterpart’(which you mention) thanks to hyperbole speeches.
AIM-54 is worse than the AIM-7F against fighters; unless you’re claiming cross analysis, DCS’s best players, War Thunder’s best players, and of course the US military all wrong…
And 6 vs 4 isn’t a real difference when both carry 8 total missiles.
I’ve used no hyperbole on this topic while addressing every difference.
@Von_Valinor
Still waiting for an AIM-54 to frag me for the first time when flying a fighter.
Hasn’t happened to any of my fighters as of current; including Mirage 3C and J35XS.
Y’all keep claiming its OP yet it can’t frag an above average player.
it can’t though lol, only advantage ej kai has really is the radar but you can still defend against a sparrow pretty easily then just merge and neuter the gen3
Of course, of course hahaha, is not the plane, is the pilot, I already understood DCS’s Maverick
This must be as true as “DCS tactics” hahaha
Unlike you, I don’t need to lie to prove my point, I don’t need to say that I apply simulator tactics in a simarcade game, to try to give someone pseudo-credibility.
Big man I was at 3.5-4km, of course the Phoenixes are gonna be fired at a longer range, if they’re fired close range then the massive smoke trails will be too obvious and it’ll be too easy to dodge. Also I climb high to bait Tomcats into firing long range and dragging those missiles at low altitude.
The only plane at its BR where I am quite confident against the Tomcats is my Mirage 2000C-S4.
That is IF I can get past the F-ing Phoenixes. I, for some reason, can have a REALLY hard time dodging the things.
For some reason it seems to me that the Phoenix almost pulls more than the 17G it says it does. I know it probably doesnt but it just seems that way. Tacview confirms it doesnt ever go over 17G but it tracks me REALLY well most of the time. Against a single phoenix I notch, chaff and pull sort of a half immelman. But if it keeps tracking me I have a hard time dodging the thing even in a mirage.
A couple games ago it fused about 2 planelengths away from me when I dodged and it still instakilled me.
Once I am past the Phoenixes its usually game over for the Tomcat because my 530D is faster than the Sparrows and I can usually get a launch off before they do.
I still think I have about a 50/50 chance against the tomcats
Actually the Phoenix rarely pulls above 11Gs. It doesn’t have the wing area and AoA to pull 17Gs in most conditions. The reason why you’re not dodging it is probably because you’re just turning in one direction and not trying to jink the missile making it pull max Gs.
I mainly try notching, and I try to use the vertical because I dont want to pull into or away from the phoenix because of the 3 megatonne nuclear warhead mounted to the front of them. They fuze at around 2 jet lengths away from me and one shot me that way.
Hyperbole IS used here but seriously they fuze from INSANE ranges.
Notching is good, its a safe way to dodge Pheonixes with very little effort but if you want to out-maneuver Phoenixes just copy what I do in the video I sent above. You don’t have to worry too much about the warhead, its large but as long as you maintain your high speed and jink then there should be no problem.
@Von_Valinor
Keep claiming the US military, War Thunder experts, and DCS experts are all liars.
Certainly your posts will be correct when the entire world is your enemy?
2022 players were better than this.
Yeah I believe so. I used it in SARH BVR all the time. Point my jet 45 degrees nose left of my target. The dude shoots a missile, wait a couple seconds so it extends nice and far from his jet and then turn your nose at your target, launch directly at him, and then pull your nose 45 degrees to the other side. That way their missile as to do a HUUUUUUUGE turn and loses a shitload of energy.
