I don’t have expert crew on most aircraft, but I do have max level. MAYBE it could’ve been my lower level older crew?
It has about a 2 second burn time, all it takes is for you to be checking your speed or altitude for a second, focusing on something else and the missile can look just like the plane that launched it. It happens to all of us
A MiG-21S is doing a head on towards you. What is your assumption?
F106 which is on par as mig21s is at 9.3

F-106 doesn’t turn or accelerate as well, but probably should go up owing to its slightly better missiles compared to the 21S. I don’t think 8.3s should be facing it either lol and neither should 8.7s be facing the 21S. 105D would also be fine at 9.7 is the way I see it

doesn’t turn as well as the MiG-21S, not flat out doesn’t turn. especially since it loses its energy much faster and can’t regain it as fast
It’s pretty much identical in playstyle with not much different in the results.
and like I said despite being slightly inferior FM wise it shouldn’t be 9.3

slightly better missiles? on my soul id take a 9B over any aim4. no proxy fuze simply makes those missiles useless. i had 4 f106’s try and hit me with their IR guided AIM4’s in my mig19 and easily dodged them all cause the flew right past me.
The Falcon can kinda turn, it being slow kills the range but helps it pull slightly more I believe. But all in all I’d rather have the objectively superior MiG-21S for the whole package (about as fast, turns about as well and recovers its energy much better)
