MiG-19>F-100>F104 (in my opinion)
F-100 and 104 are the easiest to play
daaang vulcan has high drag? didnt know that
realistically tho most of my shots will prolly be taken where the vulcan and defas are better (generally 0.7 km and lower, even less in energy traps)
headons maybe ig but if they lack the mental power to pull out of headons they also probably lack the power to do anything else
F-100A: most kills per battle
It doesn’t technically have “high” drag, it just doesn’t have the mass of a 30mm shell so it loses its velocity a lot easier due to lack of inertia (compared to a 30mm shell with similar or closeish muzzle velocity).
MiG-19 by a longshot. Be wary of its issues with compression as you said, but its cannons have a pretty decent muzzle velocity and pack a punch. My issue with them is moreso the ammo count (hence the need for discipline and well-aimed shots)
The MiG-19’s performance (specifically its TWR and the resulting amazing acceleration and good sustained turn) means that you can outclimb basically anything you face, and beat deltas in dogfights very easily. I love it.
