When they mange to make it functionally
hopefully soon though

but it will probably be a situation like that of the TURM 3 turret where it took many years
Last time i asked smin about it a few weeks ago, he said there was no update on when its coming. So since it wasnt on dev its 99% not coming this update.

man I’ve been asking this since the f15c ge got promised it before the f18e even got leaked or teased lmao they said the next couple updates those liars lol.
yeah this wouldn’t surprise me,
what truly confuses me though is why they modeled and allowed equipping the pod 2 updates ago on the dev, like when it was removed on live i understood not ready in the last couple days/hours before dev but they had like 6 extra months from when they obviously originally planned on adding it so i don’t understand how it went from presumably close to in game testing ready to remove from all existence.
I’m starting to think adding it is like the satisfactory pipe code, it so ingrained with the code for no reason that they cant even begin working on or altering the code without destroying the game.
All of their budget went into generating AI textures so they had no money left for IRST pod for F-18E this update

im suprised the ai use didnt also consume the water affects added last update
this isnt something new though. for example the P-61 was supposed to have a modification or a toggle so the turret is locked to the front so you get 4 extra offensive guns but that never came. i also heard somewhere that the Ju-87 D-5 was supposed to get the ability to jettison its landing gear but thats also not here yet.
Classic Gaijin. Peak laziness. Still waiting for the ability to overwhelm LDIRCM, maybe that’s another 4 years out.

Why spend money, time, and effort to make it placement not usless when u can just copy paste and make some AI slop stuff that’s players anyway gonna bought.
