thrust vectoring is extremely useful when dogfighting at high altitude, cuz if u’re in an energy fight, u can turn even at absurdly low speeds
it is pretty unrelated to the toptier meta, having mach 1.5 at 8000m is much better than having more missiles, flying mach 1.1 at the same alt.
it isn’t, because air rb isnt a 1v1 game. You will die instantly in war thunder the moment you go slow at high altitude, period. IF you can get a 1v1, then you could utilize this.

your brought up topic is maybe relevant at endgames and the best way to get kills is using the r73 in a headon and release it at like 1km distance…

the most important stuff is how fast is it, how good acellerates it and how good does it hold it speed in turns(just bc its important for dodging active radar missiles)…

u can get a lot of speed just going straight, but u lose it all in a single turn
Mate, the Su-30 is not that great at BVR. The radar is the best of Russia, which isn’t saying much since I have a better RWR with a biplane than any Russian plane.

Russia has the best planes for dogfighting, like America has the best planes for BVR, and Germany has the best planes for a balanced playstyle of that 2 methods
No? incorrect? Su-27s, save for the Su27 at 13.0, are SLOW for their battle rating. The Su-30 is the SECOND SLOWEST 14.0 overall only sitting in front of the hornet.
