Mig-21s in general are undertiered. If the F-5s were actually the meta, then they wouldn’t be free food for literally everything. AV-8C, F-8U, A-10A, all benefit from F-5 SL pinatas.

AV-8C? Lmao. That thing’s best weapon is the 9G, which is one-flared by the F-5C. Can’t catch it either. Unless you’re a wizard with the VTOL, it’s also shitted on in a dogfight.
F-8U? 9D’s are one-flared, and is completely stomped in a dogfight. Can catch the F-5C but that’s about it.
A-10A? Joke of a plane, slower than a P-51, and about as agile as a brick. DEFINITION of an SL/RP pinata.

Running out of flares in the F-5C…
Found the problem. You need one flare tap for almost every missile except for maybe an AIM-9L coming from a weird angle.
You probably need 10 chaff for the BR to deal with the occasional pulse missile that finds its way to you. So 50 flares that are dual pop. 25 missiles decoyed.
As for your other issue; the free look key is free.

Yes, it also outruns F-5. The only advantage F-5 has is its wings don’t with high Gs, and the F-5E gets EEGS.

yeah depending on the player fighting it, most planes at similar BRs can just run away from it as it’s barely supersonic with pissweak engines
Straightline speed and turnrate are also not the only factors in a dogfight.
