Which is expected when 85% of its opponents are 1000 kph faster with better missiles … The MCU has real good pythons but thats kinda it and 1 flare or a random missile shot or even clouds will 100% counter them… F-5C see constant uptiers so all you face are Tornado ,EJ Phantoms and Mig 23’s with Mig 21 Lazures so yea if they dropped their brain and try to dogfight you can enjoy what a Tiger brings to the team but all they have to do to make you useless is drive straight maybe flare ( no need to flare Aim-9 E tho you can dodge those just using rudder)
Unironically skill issue is all I can say, F-5 is extremely easy to play and is meta in that it is extremely good at what all players, especially at that BR, are wanting to do… hold S.

Holding S is literally how you die… Honestly please post video of you just holding s till you win please… Does it dogfight well absolutely but man they are irrelevant if you dont lay on your max pitch and try to 1 circle or 2 circle them I know this cause somehow I fight them near every Mirage 5F at 10.0br and even me having no flares I have 0 fear of F-5C or even the E when its a full uptier ( the Aim -9J takes proper speed to defeat tho so you cant just ignore an F-5E like the Skoshi tho) dont get me wrong Tigers probably THE BEST aircraft at its BR for a 1 on 1 custom battle where you merge and carry out 1 or 2 circle fight with opponent trying to do the same but thats not what game META is literally no one wants to actually dogfight its just BnZ or rolling scissors ( which at least is kinda a dogfight) anytime you get in a circle fight both parties asking to get smacked by 8 others just looking for chance to drop a missile
Skill Issue? I find the F-5 to be extremely competitive, as you cannot face shit like F-16’s and F-14’s anymore. It’s honestly very fun.
Edit: I see your problem, you mentioned “better missiles” when talking about the opponents of the F-5. The F-5 is a gunfighter, not a missile truck.

F-5 is by far one of the strongest aircraft at its respective BRs and is in need of some major nerfs. Like Bringing its IR signature to IRL levels (you can currenlty 1 flare defeat any IR missile in game, including quite a few IRRCM missile which you will rarely see)
(everything struggles in an uptier and is to be expected, if it didnt, then its BR is too low)
F-5C should NEVER have been moved back down to 10.7 as they are a nightmare to face in uptiers and in anything 9.7-10.0 will always see the F-5C due to their popularity.
So F-5 nerfs when?

It’s literally in the running for best 10.7 as it stands. 10.7 is not “missile is all” territory. There are still a LOT of dogfights and gun kills at that BR, if you’re a decent pilot anyway. With F5 you can force every single fight to be a dogfight and a gunfight anyway.
Even if it’s brought down to 10.0 American mains will still fuck it up-

I dont have any of those. But if I brought the Sea Harrier FRS1e which is the same BR as the F-5C, there is literally nothing I can do to kill you because my only decent weapon is the 9L and you can defeat those with a single flare in any aspect due to the cold fusion engines the F-5s currently have.

Most things below it are sub-sonic. Please explain how something like a Hunter or Harrier is meant to outrun an F-5?
You don’t have infintive amount of missiles, and trying to fight is a lot more fun than running away each time your missiles is out.
