F5C is the weaker one look at the NF5A a F5E the same br
F5C could go up but its good FM can only do so much

Bar the J-7D, name a single fighter at 10.7 that can actually beat them in a dogfight (heck, I even reckon in a gun only fight, the J-7D wouldnt necessarily win)
70% of the time i can beat a F5 in a dogfight with J7D only times i die are to 2v1s usually the plane with take off flaps just hovers and its cool mig 21 MF could beat iit too
unless they play energy against the mig they loose and you have to set that up before i gun ya down
J7D=Mig-21MF with better engine which is weaker than BIS engine but better than MF
then it gets PL5B which is like a rear aspect 9L meaning it has tough time seeing through flares PL7 is just a magic one
F-8E wins extremely easy (granted it’s undertiered) i’ve beat it in my Su-22 multiple times, A-10A outturns it, the Mig-21s outturn it, and pretty much all that’s left is either planes that outrun it (F-111, F-4, F-104) and strike aircraft that get curbstomped by pretty much everything anyways.
Don’t tell me you actually think the F-5 is faster than the F-104, F-111, and F-4.

What? PL-5B is a good missile, sure, but the 9L is far and away better.
the acceleration is the thing that makes it so good. it get burns through its fuel in like 2 seconds and is way faster at its target than the 9l. and it feels more flare resistent
It probably isnt. Just it hits the target/closes the gap quickly enough that it doesnt see flares. Much the same effect can be seen on the MAA-1s even though I think they have C&Ped seeker from the 9L

How? It is slightly faster in acceleration, and that is it. That does not make up the slightest for the lack of full aspect, which is much more effective in this BR range. The only other difference is 0.5 degree of Fov which, I mean does it matter?
Depends on the plane doesn’t it, (more or less) MiG-21 or (More or less) A-10 makes a hell of a difference.
