It’s very very strong, if there was a BR in between 12.0 and 12.3 the F-4S would belong there. When compared to stuff like the F-4J and UK Phantoms it kinda just wipes the floor with them easily in all fights.
The best nerf would be to actually implement accurate multipath for the con-scan AIM-7F so other missiles have their advantage of inverse monopulse seekers highlighted. But the knock-on effects of accurate MP for AIM-7F will also screw over AIM-7E and earlier quite significantly.

If that was the case then why don’t most J-7D and Mig-21 bison players bomb, and as a consequence, they have higher than average KB/KD according to statshark?

I cant speak for the J-7D much because I dont play that BR often, but the Mig-21 BISON they definetly base bomb all the time
Bison has 0.98 kb, 1.29kd, earning of 13,828 SL per death. Lazur M has 0.69 kb and 0.84 KD, with 13,138 SL per death.
Despite significantly lower KD, the earning of SL is similar.
It couldn’t be that lazur M users are going for ground targets wwaaay more than the bison.
The only good thing about the Su-27 is it’s HMD and R-73s. Other than that, the plane is horrible. It easily gets clapped in a turn fight against say, F18 and F-16; by two circles I was out of energy and the F18 kills me by machine gunning me; not even the HMD could save me

Wow must be nice seeing F4S’ actually using said 6 AIM-7Fs. Haven’t touched top-tier in a month or two but you’d have a ton of cosplayers. You’ll see your team filled with fighter icons but 85-90% of them are bombers going for the closest 2 bases and dying within the first 4 minutes.

The F4S is easily the best 12.0 and the only thing that keeps it at that BR is its player base. It should be 12.3 given how big the difference with the rest of the 12.0 is, but Gaijin needs to give the inexperienced premium buyers at least a .3 BR advantage.
f-4s is not on par with an fa18a lol, its not 12.3 material

j7d is one of the most overpowered premiums in the game. mig21 bison bomb all the time, and besides the bison is very strong, hmd with 2 r73s and 2 r27r is very strong at 12.3
I die a little inside every time I see a Mig-21 Bison base bombing. Every game I’ve lost at 12.0 as Britain is because of base bombing Mig-21 Bisons.

Ive had matches in the GR4 recently where I’ve finished the game with 5x Bombs still on my belly because of Mig-21s just base bombing and they are just slightly faster than me
