And if you want to talk something OP it is rafale on ARB’ with micas… But I bet you would use it also as bomber…

I wanted to spark an interesting debate regarding 11.0 vs 12.0 F-4S, and how it is disprortionally strong instead of usual “le f-4 underpowered” that you see a lot. And I offered my unique viewpoints.

That is just straight up untrue. Have you actually played any 12.0 against a Su-27 or similar

Its not untrue. My Tornado with two AIM-9L and bus-like FM is helpless against Aim-7F spammers with decent radar. Ofen MP also don’t work. I sometimes scratch the ground and it still connects.

  1. There is such thing as flying too low
  2. MP is not a magical defence and should only be used situationally
  3. You have one of the best RWRs of the BR and 1200 large chaff. No ARH or SARH should ever be hititng you.
  4. I’ve grinded most of the event so far using the Tornado Gr4 at 12.3. Whilst it has strengths over of the WTD61 obviously, it also faces much stronger opponents than the F-4S every match. It does fine. Heck, ive beaten F-20s and even a few F-4Ss in gunfights before.

Just get all of continuous wave radar missile users away from the ir only planes at 10.3-11.3. The radar missiles require a maneuver or being low compared to 1-2 presses of the flare button. I’ve had lots of success with f4ej recently that only has the “basic” aim7e, just cause it’s still continuous wave and frequently kills the guy I fired it at. Like sure just go low and be unlockable in the first place but sometimes enemy f4 will manage to somehow track me when I’m quite low alt. I’m mainly just annoyed at the ones who have radars that can tell between ground and planes though.

correction: they bomb because they are lazy low levels who bought a premium fighter to just bomb their entire way through a tech tree.

It is not massive skill issue. I can underatand bombing in kfir canard and f104s/asa. But f4ej and mig21bis?

I hardly ever use multipath but ive moticed that when im playing fox 1 aim7s are defested quite easily by MP, r27er very rarely

Yeah. ive found much the same actually. Though as a general rule of thumb. If the thing firing at you is at MP height, then you can use MP, if not, your best bet is to defend properly.
