You forgot downgraded RWR. And in case of EJ specifically it is extremely important because it can’t detect J band. Which means that every single R-24 carrier can nuke poor EJ without it even knowing.

I haven’t played the USN variant of F-4J yet, so I can’t tell for sure.
but I kinda liked F-4E(Kurnass)'s RWR more than either F-4J(UK) or F-14A IRIAF’s one.
So F-4E’s RWR would be better than F-4J.

Probably a combo of compression and BR magnets.
12.0+ is heavily compressed and 12.0s face way stronger aircraft than it should. The commonality of airframes like the 3x premium F-18s, Mirage F1C-200, and SQVs like the SU-33. Mean it often faces uptiers. its most common for 11.7+s to be dragged up to 12.7.
Being 11.3. The F-4E avoids a lot of said uptiers, and at most, might face 11.7s. But probably spends a lot of time facing downtiers, pulled towrads the 10.7 aircraft like the F-5C, J-7D and premium Mig-21s.
The result is where the F-4J faces uptiers, the F-4E faces downtiers

The F-4E is VERY good at 11.3. Mind how I didn’t say busted as it can get countered easily.
Even in 12.3 uptiers it can hold its own by punishing mistakes with its wide radar cone and insane close range sparrow capabilities.
Another important factor is that, unlike the 4J, it doesnt see 13.0 and all the annoyances that come with it ( busted premiums and absolutely cracked 13.0s)

Not seeing any fox-3 or heavily armed 4th gens is it’s saving grace. Wish the ACM cone was a little smaller or faster though sometimes

I’m sure the 5% of the time the sparrow bugs out will make up for the fact the F-4J is a strictly better aircraft in air RB than all 10.7-11.3s. You were firing at a target that was almost notching you the entire time btw.
F-4J is a USN aircraft
What I meant was
I flew F-4J(UK), the USED exported version from USN to RAF (Which is inferior)
But I haven’t unlocked and flown with the original F-4J yet.

it wouldnt really make sense for F4J to be 12.3 with 9L since the F18A and the MIG 21 Bison are miles better i get the EJ kai is that BR cause it has boosted radar and 9Ls honestly should be lower considering the 12.3s at same br
If you put EJ Kai at 12.0 it’s just a strictly better F-4S/F-4J. If you put it at 12.3 it’s just a strictly worse hornet/Mirage 2K etc. The game is just massively compressed.

The jet is also missing its external countermeasure pods, which are already present on the A-6E TRAM in-game. I go into a bit more detail about them in this post.
The Phantoms have largely been forgotten, and a couple of them, such as the F-4J, F-4S, and F-4M, need to receive AIM-9Ls for balance reasons.

The F-4C is also missing Paveways and IRCM. Both of which would make it an actually good airplane in both ARB and GRB.
