And honourable mention is the 50 years anniversary Livery that for me personally is the best livery in a Phantom (also the RF-4 had an awesome livery named “The end of the Film”

+1, AMRAAM Phantoms are so fun to use so it would be shame if they were limited to KWS

Major fan of this plane, you have a huge +1 from me!

I would like to add there’s something of note, and worth looking into:
Some AUPs have been seen with the front windshield armor/framing completely removed and changed from this:

To this:

This one-piece windshield is not uncommon and has been seen on other phantoms iirc. It’s be really lovely for sim.

Ofc as I said it still needs to be looked into. I don’t know if this was a few airframes things, a modern thing, and old thing, or something else. Regardless it’s quite nice and worth mentioning for visibility sake for our resident sim-players who want better visibility on top of the superior cockpit when compared to the ICE.

Funny enough the phantom in the USA could have continued on. They where considered a work horse of a aircraft they also had lots of room for improvement.

But it was not considered profitable to offer upgrades then to just provide a new plane.

I have never noticed it or even mentioned anywhere, but as you said it will be best visibility for Sim (I am playing the Kurnass now in Sim and it lacks some visibility to the front)

1 of the few images from a different post on the forums i found of the f4E aup 2000 carrying aim 120s also it should be able to carry the aim 9 JULIS missile aswell since in the pic they very much resemble that missile + its a special german modified missile too.

None of them look like they have clipped fins, so that makes them AIM-120Bs.

tbh it shouldnt even be surprised if the f4e aup can carry the C5/C7 aswell since the radar is fully compatible with the 2 missiles

Yea the Hellenic airforce says/imply that the F-4E AUP can carry all the AMRAAM in service, but I guess this is not enough for Gaijin so I am searching to see if I can find any photo that can prove it

This is the Aim-9P-4 or Aim-9P-5 pictured here.

As for the conversation on the Aim-120 variant, it’s up to gaijin. Compatibility seems to be present, but the lack of proof it ever used anything besides the B variant could be enough for gaijin to only give it that missile. It will likely end up being a counterpart to its German brother ingame.

oyea i did small research and only spain ever had the aim 9 julis
