Yea the Hellenic airforce says/imply that the F-4E AUP can carry all the AMRAAM in service, but I guess this is not enough for Gaijin so I am searching to see if I can find any photo that can prove it
This is the Aim-9P-4 or Aim-9P-5 pictured here.
As for the conversation on the Aim-120 variant, it’s up to gaijin. Compatibility seems to be present, but the lack of proof it ever used anything besides the B variant could be enough for gaijin to only give it that missile. It will likely end up being a counterpart to its German brother ingame.

AIM-9P-4 regular AIM-9Ps don’t have an all-aspect seeker
aim 9 julis is a special convertion kit for the aim 9J/N/P to add the aim 9L seeker head and it basiclly only got exported to spain so yea aim 9 julis is basiclly the same as the p-4 but also with that it can be done on the aim 9J which is a slight worse model then the P which makes it a different missile from the p-4/5
Greece only uses ΑΙΜ-9 L/I, L/I-1 and AIM-9M for the PI 2000 maybe is it one of them and not an Julius or a -P
So i did some research and greece only had the aim 9P-1/2 and yea def in the 2000s they still prob had a few for the f4e before they switched over fully to the aim 9M and the missile in the image is def a 9P bc of the frontal canards which gives it away bc aim 9L/M use pointy canarads but the aim 9P is more blocky
It’s not, none of those missiles are pictured there. It has the body of the Aim-9J/P series and the easily identifiable Aim-9L/M seeker. The only thing this missile can be is the Aim-9P-4/5.
Although you may not have seen documented proof of this usage, this is visual evidence of it. If it wasn’t acquired earlier on, this could be a somewhat newer addition to the HAF arsenal. Some Air Force’s do acquire older yet capable missiles such as these as they are great stockpiles to make use of for training purposes.

They’re most practical use, yes. If you can get me a more clear close up picture of the missile being used by them, I could determine if it’s inert. Slightly hard to tell if that’s a blue band from the photo you sent.

Alr i did more research the image for sure shows that these are aim 9 JULIS instead of aim 9P-4/5 and thats bc the black part of the seeker area ends before the canards on the julis while p4/5 goes further behond the front canards also the juli has those blue rings the p4/5 uses yellow rings instead so yea greece def got a few julis from germany when they did the whole aup modernization there bc juli is a german modified misisle after all.

Swiss AIM-9P-5 to be precise, not really noteworthy but it could be worth mentioning for future reference.
The Aim-9P-4/5 varies in appearance. The greyish-green front shell can vary, from it being simply the seeker, to one panel behind that, to two panels behind that. Not much of an indicator of the variant.
I seemed to have confused you by not explaining what that means, apologies. Yellow or redish-brown rings means a live missile, and blue rings means an inert missile (there are inert versions of practically every missile, so have a fully colored body, others have bands). Blue rings means there’s no warhead and is commonly used for practice and training. Yellow/Brown rings are the real deal and live missiles.
Really just Ignore the rings, I mentioned them earlier as they are a good indicator of the HAF was using inert versions for practice.

Great suggestion! However, it does make me wonder, how do the MFD pages of this F-4 variant look like?
I have possibly two assumptions on how it may look like based on two hypothesis:

Possible layout considering the MFD’s match with the same model used for the F-4AUP as well as similar dates where the contracts and modernizations were held.
- Kfir CE / IAI Lavi / F-5E Tiger III+ / MiG-21 2000 modernization layout
Possible layout considering the Kfir CE borrowed a lot of tech from the Lavi; considering as well that the Ecuadorian Air Force started their modernization program in 1998
Though to be fair, considering the similarities in display components between the MiG-21LanceR and F-4 AUP, I wouldn’t be surprised if we got the first layout.
I hope it gets its own unique cockpit that it has (I think it’s the same with the ICE we have in game)
