Considering the Mig-25 is being added to the game, how F-22 performance would fair in really high altitudes or high speeds against it? Can the F-22 fly “easily” at altitudes above 20km? Can it easily go past mach 2?
I’m bringing the Mig-25 because the F-22 has stronger engines than Mig-31’s, which is a further development of Mig-25; but power isnt all what matters in an jet engine
not much has been released about these, but its likely it has good high altitude performance

given that it can supercruise at or almost at mach 1.8 (iirc highest confirmed is 1.76 but some statements put it up closer to 1.8)

you can use any color you want besides red and I think there is a Bot that handles the color of text issue.

very appreciated, I think we have all known it was fast like 1.7 super cruise fast but even if this source is the lower end of the guess, it will help us get it properly implemented unlike the EFT on release lol.
That was the YF-22 with the GE YF-120 variable cycle engines. The service F-22 is slower, maximum supercruise is slightly less than the EF Typhoon’s, as it lacks intake ramps among other things.
you might be right but I believe the lowest guaranteed known super cruise for the regular f22 is 1.5, equal to that of the EFT clean if I recall though that could be wrong since I don’t know as much specific details about the EFT.

Yeah, isn’t F-22 supposedly smth like Mach 1.8? EFT is at Mach 1.5 (unless your Gaijin, then it’s a marketing lie)

because from a quick search YF22 is quoted with a lower supercruise speed than F22
EF with 6x missiles and 2x underwing tanks is 1.6M supercruise, from either Thai or Singaporean trials I forget. It’s guaranteed to be slower than the EF Typhoon as there’s no way to modulate incoming air except the bleed holes.

This one states the EFTs Supercruise as Mach 1.5 (the site may be a bit fucked up, may just be me tho). Theres some sources that state that this number is achieved with missiles as well, idk how many it was tho and neither do I have those on hand. Idk where the other guy got Mach 1.6 from, but that numbers has never been stated as such. I think the swiss trails have some more detail as well, but those are classified, don’t post em here
