The F-16CM Block 50 we are getting are post 2006s.
As the litening II was tested in 2006.

At this point i start to think they add this because just better CAS platform for US
This thing not only use AMRAAM but 9M as well
And there we are 9L and AIM-7
It was never intended for US service F-16C/D’s, only that of client states, and was not likely refit since the AMRAAM existed at that point so would be anachronistic assuming that the US even maintained reserve stocks for that long.

Don’t start just believe it mirage 2000-5 was added for this sole purpose even if it never used PGM of cas weaponry under french service

Block 40 is literally same plane in terms of flight performance.
İn that case Block-30 would be best option since it was the most dangerous Block model for Dogfight.

I’m pretty sure the F-16A Block 10 is the best dogfighter anyway since it’s even lighter.

Actually F-16C Block 50 equipped with LANTIRN AN/AAQ-14 targeting pod or AN/AAQ-28(V)2 Litening II or AN/AAQ-33 Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod (ATP)
Block-30 has better engine while having similiar weight.
So Block-30 is actually better.
F-16A engine is more than enough for dogfights and even a small difference in weight is significant for F-16s

Which new engine compansates those weight differences more then enough.
Not to mention having better avionics alongside with better armament makes Block-30 more formidable in A2A scenarios.
Also keep in mind word of Dogfight doesnt use for gun kills only, it also includes A2A missile fights alongside with overall flight performance.
Ussr hasnt had anything announced yet for planes

J8F Lost the Aspide and Kurnass 2000 lost the AIM-7F for the exact same reason so it’s probably getting corrected
Block 50 gonna use Aim7M which doesnt require Cw illiuminator unlike previous models of sparrows.
Also Block 50 can use sparrows, its proven already.
