Eurocanards are lucky this never went anywhere

would be amazing event vehicle
would have block 50 level avionics if it went into production

Have you heard of the original proposal for the UAE block 60’s? It’s like this but with AESA and the improved F-16E sensor suite

We are all very lucky this never went anywhere.

What wouldve happened if it did go somewhere?

GrimReapers (Content creator for DCS) recently today did a video on a drag race of different aircrafts, only core aircrafts of the game. In that video the F-16C had beaten the F-15E at low altitude brakes-off acceleration.

Now I’m not inclined to think that the two modules that each have a team working on their vehicles did it completely wrong compared to a game where developers are spread out over thousands of vehicles.

In Warthunder, the F-15E completely beats the pants off the F-16CC in terms of acceleration at low altitude. Did this game get it wrong?

CFTs?
Ordnance load?
Fuel states?

It would not surprise me at all if an F-16 from a standstill accelerated faster than a heavily laden F-15E.

It’s also not really comparable to when they are already inflight.

Also given that it was the “GrimReapers”(pathetic larpers for the real thing) I’m sure it was a very scientific and controlled environment…

CFTs equipped, no ordnance. Unsure of fuel states. But my understanding is that even a heavily laden F-15E in-game still smokes the current F-16C in-game on take-off.

I’m comparing it to both planes in statshark.

When was the last time you saw an F-15E with CFTs in WT?

There is 0 reason to take them unless you are also taking ground ordnance.

Is this to say that the F-16C in-game would beat the F-15E with CFTs on in terms of take-off acceleration?

Isnt the hornet the absolute best dogfighter in that game?

Wait, are you sure the DCS F-15E has the -229 engines?

Frankly I don’t think it really matter as the way the game takes into account drag from pylons is all that accurate.

But I would say likely if you did F-15E full fuel +full CFTs, it would likely be slower than even full F-16 fuel.

I had someone test for me, they had an F-15I and not an F-15E. Full fuel for F-15I and CFTs. F-16C with full fuel.

  1. f-15i 1:08

  2. f-16c 1:04

  3. runway → mach 1.2 800m

However in the GrimReaper video, the F-16C and F-15C had beaten the F-15E heavily.

I have to get f-16cbut here’s 15e with 229.
I have sustained turn rates for 16c with ge 129 engines but not accerlaiton, I have to find those that are actually postable

With cft

Both of these already start in the air so idk how helpful it is for determining takeoff performance.

Going off TTW the E with 229 should beat the F-15C from a stop

True
Unfortunately I don’t have anything that has take off time, just minimum speed to take off vs weight and stuff like that

yea it does
