F-16 Fighting Falcon: History, Performance & Discussion

-229s don’t use any parts from the -232, lifespan sits at a pretty firm 6k TAC thanks to pretty much everything being slightly remanufactured.

The most significant change I can think of comes down to the augmentor, which pushed almost a 70% increase in lifespan.
That’s still just a depo interval, you might as well have to rebuild the entire engine 10 times over before it’ll come to that… At least with the way my unit flies them.

Does anyone know if ALR-69A(V) provide 360 rwr in both x and y plane?

AFAIK no major antenna upgrade was made to F-16s with ALR-69A RWR, so probably there might still be blind spots.

Are the F-16 block 50/52 being upgraded to block 70/72 refered to as F-16v or F-16 PoBIT?

PoBIT

And the only difference is the RWR and engine between V and PoBIT right?

RWR yes, but engine is a block number thing not a V or PoBIT thing

If foreign nations are doing it with the use of the Block 70/72 upgrade kits from Lockheed-Martin then F-16V Block 70/72. But with the US then it’s F-16C PoBIT.

IIRC there are differences on EW suites between USAF PoBIT and foreign 16Vs.
USAF uses AN/ALQ-257 while foreign ones use AN/ALQ-254.

Which one is better?

EW is highly classified

in all its aspects, there is barely any technical details known about the EW stuff that 3rd gens used

Ok

Wonder which is more classified:

F-22 flight manual or current EW suites.

Can someone tell me if this guy is right or wrong about F-16?

Go check for yourself clean F-16A with about 75% internal fuel.

And the AOA limit of the F-16 is 25 degrees AOA exceeding that should be impossible.

At 25 degrees AOA the F-16 actually generates more G than this chart shows meaning the F-16 generates too much lift as is.

Correct me if i am wrong but F-16A ingame is F-16 block 10 and F-16ADF is F-16 block 15 which is heavier F-16A with same engine. The graph you posted is about F-16 block 15. So should i check that with ADF or with A?

well part of the F-22 manual was publicly released

(not a f-22 flight manual, but rather a pilot training manual from the looks of it)

It’s hilarious that I can scissor with it at 40+ degrees AOA with my hotas.
