The F-16’s LAU-129 and 16S210 missile launchers are designed to attach to the plane towards the rear, on a little stub that recesses in to the launcher. It probably intrudes into the space where the BOL decoys would stow inside the launcher.

Just pointing out there is no reason these should be missing from the current in-game F-16C, especially since they are already found on the Belgian F-16A, at a lower BR. Just another way the US F-16 is artificially nerfed for “‘some reason’”.
MAWS pylon can come with the PoBIT F-16C or F-16V, depending on what Devs add

Noticed a couple things about the new Blk 52
It does get it’s AN/ALR-69A RWR vs the 56M on the Blk 50.
Second it’s getting the dreaded countermeasure modeling they’re doing. Coming with 60 Reg CM and 30 Large CM
Is blk50 also going to get affected from this?
Regarding CM count, highly likely they might change it since the model shows 30 Large CM and 60 CM

probably not, because it is a completely different radar, and there are sources for F16Cs radar to have NCTR
Yeah, but atm the F-2 just uses MFDs from the F-16s. :p
f-2 already has nctr, it just that its mfd doesnt have nctr (in cockpit)
but it uses the f-16 mfd pages, so if the f-16 mfd gets nctr, then i would assume f-2 mfd will also be updated with nctr

i wouldn’t think it’s actual target recognition with plane ID, probably something like the mig-29smt where it can differentiate between plane, bomb, small, medium, large, etc.
(not talking about aesa f-16, ofc that gets full nctr)

I mean that is still good enough for the radar filter feature so I’ll take it for the M-scan F-16C

because even the earliest NCTR was meant to be in part used for IFF, which that wouldnt help with at all

honestly wouldn’t be too surprised if thats true, just personally havent seen anything outright confirming it (f-15a/c upgrade programs from around the same time for example had explicit target ID NCTR added in the MSIP 2 upgrade (even though for some reason this isn’t modeled in the game???))

Small medium large/multi jet NCTR is a Gaijin fabrication. It’s not how it works IRL in the slightest. But surprise surprise it’s a way to artificially nerf NATO aircraft so it will stay.
