F-15I Receiving Standoff Weapons

The SPICE should be coming alongside an AGM, not replacing it

You could see targets in a test range from 20+km even back in the days, when in actual grb target would disappear at 14-15 km.

You wrote this:

I just asked you to prove your point about me beinge able to hit targets with 75-90 km (considered i have munitions able to fly so far). And you send me video from a test range where you can see a bot from 35 km.

Youre fine bro?

Why the change in heart?

im fine with an agm, not a popeye.

where was my change in heart? I’m fine with AGM-65, I’ve said that since the beginning as you just saw, and nothing that I’ve said says no to mavricks, he is asking for 70km popeyes. A 70km missile is far different from a 20km one

you cant lock targets from farther then 20km, i tried with the PGM-2000 what has a 50km range. i was unable to lock it until 20km

Do people really want Mavericks for F15I?

Here is another example

Some might argue these are bad shots but please before you do test all this with KH38MTs

Well, this is still much better then only have laser gbus and two ir-bombs at top tier. You can launch mavericks without taking your angle, speed and altitude in to consideration, focusing completely on your position relative to spaa. Also it has engine, so it leaves less time for s1 to react.

Yes, we are clearly still want them.

JDAMs are way more effective than GBUs but that might be personal prefreance

I, like i’m sure everyone here, would obviously much prefer domestic alternatives if given the choice. Mavs, and really just HEAT AGM’s in general are super inconsistent.

But given we are days away from the update, given we have been told there is ‘no timeframe’ on those domestic alternatives (Weeks? Months? Years? Ever?), I would still choose to have the mediocre thing than to have no thing.

Tbh though. The realist / pessimist within says Mav’s aren’t even on the table and we end up with nothing. I sincerely hope i’m proven wrong but… We’ve been through this before lol.

(Edit - Calling mavs mediocre is too harsh on my part. I still put Netz in my lineup over Barak for those 65Bs, so clearly i must rate them lol)

Its definitely is in certain scenarios.

not when the range of weapons is now being decided by the rendering of targets by the graphic engines.

extremely short range and sorta defeats the purpose of mavericks, we want them for the ability to deal with SPAA at range, then, and only then do the GBUs serve their purpose

Sure but what about the first video against the tank on Tunisia

It’s better than nothing anyway. Even if Gaijin allows f15i to hang two more gbu15v2, it’s better than now. I don’t care what gaijin want to post. The discussion is exactly the same as the discussion about German f18, British typhoon and Chinese l2a4. You start to choose which toy is better when you are not even sure whether Gaijin will consider giving you toys. I advise all players of small series who are ignored by Gaijin, including Chinese, British, French and Israeli players, to make requests first, don’t worry about whether it is reasonable or not, that’s Gaijin’s business. Gaijin will only take care of the loudest cry.

oh trust me, we have been making requests for years, gaijin only ever acknowledges it when it gets past the wall of dubious technical moderators, a few of which have fabricated/misused evidence just to worsen the performance of minor nation aircraft/vehicles, furthermore several bug reporters have made hundreds of accurate reports for israeli, chinese and british weaponry and get their reports branded as ‘not a bug’ or closed without explanation, only to watch someone’s napkin drawing claiming Relikt stops all APFSDS get passed instantly

The F15 should receive 6 MINIMUM considering the SU34 gets 6 KH38 that travel supersonic and have more of a chance of the target being alive when they get to it.

that is the whole point of this thread…
