alright since you do not want to here you go, went into the test range, 22 miles (35km) from the target (max distance in test range you can get) saw the SPAA on the targeting pod, locked onto the target at 14.8 miles (23.81km) and launched an AGM65 which might I let you know, in it’s stat card says a max launch at 14.29 miles and max lock at 12.43 miles. So I locked and launched further than the stat card and impacted the target.
and with that video, I prove 2 things, 1 the mechanics don’t exist at least not the range you think. and 2 Gaijin stat cards are always wrong…
- real grb game
- 60 km range
Waiting for a video from you.
I promise you, physics in test flight don’t necessarily translate to GRB also you re firing at a stationary target. One thing u need to realize is at a certain distance in GRB tanks render in faster than trees and buildings do on certain maps, I tried it also in test flight, with the KH29 missiles and I got the same result. Also when your at that distance the only thing your targeting pod locks onto is “air” when you fire your missile it locks onto air, the only reason it hits its target is because once it gets to a certain distance it’s well in doubt gunna go for any tank heat source, (IF YOU WHERE IN TEST FLIGHT, WENT TO THAT SAME DISTANCE, AND SHOT AT A MOVING TARGET, I PROMISE YOU THE MISSILE WOULDN’T HIT)
yea, no one is arguing that the targeting pod has a lock max, doesn’t effect the missile though, you can lock IR missiles past that targeting pod max range. And I understand the AGM65 won’t hit a moving target from that distance, it barely had the energy to get to a stationary target.
Render and missile seeker mechanics are the same in Test Range as they are in Ground RB or Air RB.
The video is to show the IR lock mechanic and visibility mechanic, he claimed you cant see anyone or lock anyone past 20km which I did. that is actively a thing you can do in this game, is it effective with the AGM65? hell no, but he wanted to make the argument saying the popeye would be useless past that range because the mechanic would handicap it, but it wouldn’t as shown in the video.
yea, no, I’m not wasting more time on this I already spent 30 minutes to show you, and you just don’t want to accept it so with that in mind I know that when I do it there as well you are just going to say I’m hacking or something so try it yourself, good night, hope you learn how to accept information soon because it is a valuable skill in the real world.
To end the discussion, instead of the AGM-142, just give Israel the Spice 1000/2000 and make them TV/IR guided
Nah you dont get it. You just trying to argue with me about vehicles you dont even have, while also trying to talk about mechanics you dont even understand.
I took you at your word and now youre struggling to prove it. Thats all.
I understand where your coming from, I’m an Israeli main aswell, grinded air ground and heli, but you need to understand, the Popeye missile is kinda crazy, like absolutely insane, outrages anything and everything in game, so I believe right now we shouldn’t get it, and if you believe that we should just because of the KH38s than your crazy
As we can see - balancing weapons by limiting several of their characteristics is okay for gaijin. Popeye can be implemented as a 360kg tnt maverick. Literally a copy of AGM-65G with better warhead and engine. I dont see how its going to make game imbalanced.
Ooooor just add SPICE 2000 which actually brings more than 2 gimped missiles strapped to the jet. SPICE 2000 would be a much better GBU-15/2 with IIR seeker of great resolution and further lock range aswell as improved max range of the flight. 4 such bombs could be carried by F-15I alongside underwing missiles and laser guided bombs mounted on the CFTs.
Its an awesome idea and I dont understand, why cant we get both. Spice and popeye.
I proved it you just don’t want to believe video proof that shows that the 2 mechanics you described don’t exist. I’m sorry you are struggling to believe a video. I clearly understand the mechanics as I showed you them in the video but since you don’t want to believe the witness that never lies (I.E a camera) have a wonderful day.
Agreed, I’d love for them to add the Spice 1000/2000, I’m grinding Israeli myself because I wanted to complete my F15 collection and I think it’s frankly insane that it doesn’t get Spice 1000/2000s.
All they need to do is start adding some of these weapons using what I am dubbing the ‘Magic 2 upgrade scheme’ where the missile is slowly upgraded to near or full capabilities as other technology catches up, since it is required as gaijin is refusing to consider just giving the F-16C, F-16D and F-15I AGM-65D/Gs that they should model a Popeye, which would have a similar motor to a missile like the KH-38, a similar styled warhead to the AGM-65G and a nerfed IIR seekerhead to match, then the various components can slowly be patched up to real life standard when other nations receive comparable tech,
If it can work fine for the Magic II, then it can work fine for the Popeye…
The risk of doing this with Israel is that I fear the snail will inevitably forget to do the upgrade part lol.
Worst case scenario is having some of our better possible additions botched for eternity.
I mean it’s better than nothing, I would rather have a Popeye that functions like a PGM-500 than yet another loadout of GBU-10s or GBU-12s with the option to bring 2 of the most useless guided bombs OAT (gbu-15)
I am dubbing the ‘Magic 2 upgrade scheme’
I might make a report/suggestion for this, as it’s a good framework that opens the door for a lot of much needed weaponry for some nations, and having an official recognition of such a system would be nice for the future, especially as weaponry becomes more and more classified
Yeah that’s fair.
I’ve no belief we will be surprised with a domestic munition for this update. For me at least, best case scenario in the short term is they just give us Mav’s as a stop gap. Even if it’s temporary and they have to replace them later when a domestic thing is ready, I’m fine with that.
I’ll take anything tbh.
Same, I am desperate for something at this rate
