F-15EX Dev Discussion Thread

That too was my understanding, however have seen conflicting things from Hornet drivers. Could be a mix of marketing names and actual names at this point.

Some people are just chronically pissed off, and possibly addicted, better to just ignore it (or them).

I would stick with what the company says over individual pilots

Which is what I would do if the company had called it anything except IRST21 :/

A compact design enables IRST21 to be integrated in a variety of ways. On the F/A-18E/F, IRST21 is mounted on the nose section of the centerline fuel tank. A podded sensor system with IRST21 is also in development and will be transportable across a wide range of platforms including the F-15C and F-16.

Lockheed does talk about LEGION but this is just an older link, you can see IRST21 is not the fuel tank pod itself

Ah, fair enough. Peculiar that they don’t have a name for it.

Still no 2000lb GBU-56 LJDAM?

GBU-50 is ingame. Don’t think Gaijin care about the differences.

They probably don’t.

agreed

and they all do the exact same thing 🤬

How come the 16 120D isnt possible? Its not that heavy,Gaijin artificial nerf again?

For the millionth time, Gaijin said no to 16 ARHs and set 12 ARHs as a hard cap.

so they refused to be realistic at that point.
Artificial manipulation
Great
Salt the snail

Well, it’s simple when you think about it, really. It’s because of balance. No other nation has a fighter capable of carrying as many ARH missiles as the F-15EX.
