Those may still have some electronics in them while the other one is pretty much just a mass/aerodynamic simulator
from what I’ve seen the 88J will be gray (and honestly I think the current paint on the 88G is just for show, don’t think it will look like that either when it is in full service)

Funny you bring that up, I was actually arguing a similar case with the Rafale when it got stuff it didnt use in French service, and even then, they technically had more of a leg to stand on than y’all with 16x (or 22x lol) AIM-120’s

Not much has been confirmed on the AIM-260. It’s been seen again recently but only on the F18. The F22 may have been testing it but we wouldn’t know with the missiles being carried internally. I’m not aware of the F15 being seen with it so far, but I’d assume the F15s would get it sooner than later.

there is no proof of backwards compatibility and again the pic was seen on 1 f15C and it wasnt even the GE.

Man, coming back to see this topics discussion is always pretty funny, and anytime either Racimazzedine or Tiger_Tank is involved it gets so much better, cause I have never seen a person agreeing and disagreeing on a position they have, at the same time.
Now I will say, I personally want only 12 AMRAAM’s and 4 Sidewinders regardless of if the EFT has its extra for similar reasoning, as we don’t need more missile spam on what will likely be the 1st IMO or 2nd best jet in the game.
However Racimazzedine is one of those users who has a way of replying that is so odd, reading you guys talking to each other made me have to reply to some. Like you can never tell if he’s giving his own personal opinion, being logical, ragebaiting, or all three at the same time.

Yeah, that’s why those two want it, both are in the same logical situation for implementation, like you said.
The EFT can likely carry AMRAAM’s on the dual pylon because of their rail and a demo displayed it on a mfd. The EX has been seen carrying AMRAAM’s on all the rails that have the aim9 sidewinders on them in the F15EX image with MRML and AMBER. And is actively carrying them on the bottom two slots of the MRML.

I think you might be confused.
This image is of the EX you can literally see the MAWS, you can also see that as mentioned prior the aim9x’s are only occupying spots the AMRAAM has been seen on and fired from on a 15EX.
like if the 9x’s were on the bottom dual rack of the MRML, I could understand your statement here, but they aren’t.
Done with that fun now, onto what I actually want to point out to those discussing over it, one please stop just saying the same things back and forth does nothing. Use the suggestion tab for the EX regarding that, as the 16 fox3’s on the IA and EX. plus MAW are, like it or not suggestions for the EX coming base off theoretical capability if it was an 100% factual point it would be relevant.
Also side note, I think you are all arguing about the wrong thing It is a FACT, that it can at least HOLD 16 AMRAAM’s, the question is rather two things whether it can only provide DL to 12 of them at a time, not all 16.
(Which could possibly be another reason for Boeing to say “accommodate up to 12 AMRAAM”, other than the obvious one of that 12 AMRAAM’s is the IRL common loadout.)
Or whether it doesn’t have the internal ability at ALL, to provide guidance launch data to all 16 Pylons when equipped with more then 12 AMRAAM’s at the same time, and can only handle the 12 making, bringing the extra 4 is worthless compared to having 4 9x’s they can actually provide launch data too.
Either way I really hope they do stick to limiting it to 12 on the EX. It was most likely done for balance by gaijin anyways, and I think they are completely in the right too, the amount of PL12 and AMRAAM spam is already insane.
Now while I will say 16 fox3’s on the IA is fine, as long as the extra are derby’s. When they do inevitably make the derby’s useful with a future change, if they haven’t progressed past the 12 limit on the EX or another aircraft I do hope they decide on restrict the loadout as well. As it will only be annoying to face 16 good fox’3 on any enemy either it be a EX, IA or flanker of some sort.

wow i missed that video when reading last night,
I agree with almost everything you said except for 2 things, i believe even if the ex/ia cant guide 16 missiles at once, they will still be worth taking over even 9xs, (id personally take 14 120s 2 9xs) because the golden eagle has 12 missiles and only 8 dl channels, and ive personally never had an issue with not being able to guide 12 at once or something lol.
and the other thing is that i dont agree with allowing 16 fox 3s on the ia if they wont allow 16 on the ex, while its true that derbies are nowhere near as strong as 120s for most scenarios, theyre still fox 3s at the end of the day, which means the ia will have 4 extra missiles to use for mcm, which i dont think is fair at all if theyre going to limit the ex to only 12 fox 3s at the same time (this most likely doesnt matter because the ia having 16 fox 3s is probably a bug) but if it somehow isnt, then we’d need 16 fox 3s on the ex asap
