it’s not me saying it they said it so they must have sources for it
theres no chance its weight limitation, the f15 can take multiple bombs, mavericks, arms, etc on the wings, 2 more 120s on each is absolutely nothing
On outer wing pylons ?
i was talking about the wings in general, but yea even on the outer pylon, it can take an agm 88c, which weighs as much as 2 120s
likely its just some believes from Gaijin themselves
there is basically no logical reason that will limit it to 12 Amraams
the dev server isnt over so who knows, we might see this changed soon, just odd for them to make up an imaginary limit with 0 evidence
No. Bvvd said it will not get >12 AMRAAM
12 Fox-3 missiles is the full load according to Boeing.
The fact your post calls double racks fake on one but not on the other is pure hypocrisy & double standards.
Blaming Gaijin for Boeing’s statements is also irresponsible.
idk why people keep saying this, operational load isnt the same as max load, also his point is valid, the su30s and 27s got extra racks only because the su35 has them, theyve never been seen on the su30 or 27 but gaijin added them anyways without an issue, the f15qa/sa are basically identical to the ex, they share all the same weapons and pylons
so we are not gonna talk about mig23 with 2 r24 vs f14 with 6 arh.
i bet you cant find me anything stating that the operational load of the su30sm2 is 12 fox 3 missiles and 2 ir
Boeing is not claiming operational load, they are claiming maximum load.
No, Su-30s got double racks because the manufacturer of the DOUBLE RACKS says they’re compatible with advanced Flankers.
Su-27SM[2/3] is the only unknown.
MRMLs are on F-15EX, which is an identical standard.
MRMLs are on F-15C GE, which is potentially the same as Su-27SM having them.
I don’t get why it’s so hard to accept this consistent standard.
It makes it look like wanting preferential treatment for whatever aircraft they’re lobbying is worse than others.
But this doesnt work when it comes to adding maws to the ex? The maws attachments clearly work with the plane but they refuse to add them for some reason, it always seems a lot harder to get things added to american/nato aircraft than it is for russian ones
i agree that mrmls on the ge were unrealistic, it should have just went down in br instead.
Its not hypocrisy because in case of Su - its in game for ages, but when it comes to american jets its somehow become double standards
Nah the 12 amraams thing has been a pretty obvious balance decision.
Yeah and manufacturer of Spice 250 bombs claims F-16 can carry 16 of them and F-15 28. But somehow only claims from one nation being considered consistently.
you dont say
MAWS is something different to weapons.
I’m reminded of Razbam wanting to remove AGM-65G/Fs from their AV-8B NA because they wanted to represent a historical time of its service rather than all of its realistic loads.
They got backlash, but still ultimately restricted loadouts; No AGM-65Gs alongside AGM-65E-2s.
So I’m conflicted about MAWS.
On one hand, I don’t like it outside the Typhoon. Smart MAWS is the only one I like.
On the other hand, people do like this option & to them it’s a serious thing.
In both situations, I’m not comparing them to weapon store positions cause that’s not comparable to me.
More comparable to Typhoons getting IRST because they can be equipped with them, but ultimately it’s up to Gaijin.
Even if I consider IRST a gimmick.
??? You dislike key situational awareness tools?
I dislike having to disable slaving to MAW every match, & the IR missile warning is not something I’ve used more than once on any aircraft [and it was the F-111A].
For radar warnings… nothing changes whether I have MAW or not.
But for Typhoon, automatic chaff-only dispensing is nice.
