F-15JSI is a modernisation programme, similar to F-15E RMP is, but focused on their current F-15J fleet. Don’t expect too much outside of AESA, AIM-120D or AGM-158

F-15IA got Derbies, and Gaijin allowed them on the outer wing MRML racks in tandem with AIM-120 MRML racks.
So… 12x AIM-120s, 4x Derbies

Oh yeah I agree, it’s just funny to see this happen.
Although I’m really starting to wish they had just picked either only 12x AAMs max or full-fledged 16x AMRAAMs. Toeing the line between 12x AMRAAMs and 16x AAMs just feels arbitrary and weird imo. If they had gone with absolutely no more AAMs than 12, I’d be happy to see we’re going with a strict historical basis. If they had gone with 16x AIM-120s, I’d be happy we are getting the flexibility that’s seemingly intended by the manufacturer.
Either would have been fine with me. I was initially intrigued by only allowing 9Ms, but now I wish they would’ve just picked one and stuck with it.
Also where is my spherical RWR from EPAWSS :(

Well Derbies utilise Fox-2 rails since it’s based on the Python chassis, so most likely a bug

its likely a bug, they probably didnt code the derbys to not work on those pylons like they did with 120s, if its somehow not a bug, then we need to be getting 16 120s on the ex immediately

we just need to get 16x amraams for both planes. This is funny already. We have su-27/30 with double racks which is pure bs, but we cant get full load of amrasms for ex?

It weighs less than the c-5 closer t aim9 so I think the weight limitation doesn’t apply to it because of that realistically

its pretty obvious that they just dont want an american plane to have more arhs than the russian ones, the 4 9ms is nice but id prefer something like 14 120s and 2 9ms

bro its not weight limitation. We can literally put 3x mavs on wing pylon, which is 3x 227kg, but cant put 2x amraams which is 2x 162kg? Its just gaijin afraid to break “balance” of su30sm2 having 14x missiles. Was not the case when it was playing vs 8x missiles planes tho.
