You only have to do it once per aircraft, the setting saves at least for me across all my MAWs equipped aircraft as long as I change them once individually
i have maws off at the start and only cut it on after i start seeing missiles coming at me, maws also does help with radar missiles, it makes it easier to see if one is getting very close, and if theyre actually going directly for you or not. all around its a great thing to have, and will be even more so once next gen fox 2s come
They have long fixed that bug and “Enable automatic counter measures release at mission start” works correctly. It was broken at some point for like 1 or two patches but its working correctly
Thank you for the information, I’ll look into that next time I’m on.
you don’t even need to compare it to Tomcat because you have an entire F-4J and F-4S with PD radar that isn’t altitude capped and up to 6 Sparrows just 0.3 br away from MiG-23. It isn’t a problem when USA has missile quantity, but it when Russia does it it is suddenly a problem and we need to powercreep the game into 16 Fox-3 territory
White Star Good.
Red Star Bad.
While mld had absolutely perfect radar which worked absolutely the same way PD radars did?
Sparrows didnt had ins unlike r24. R24 is miles better then sparrows its played against.
- was not even close compatible to mig-23 in speed and agility. And lets not forget about IR missiles of those jets.
There is not a huge deal when one jet have 8 inferior missiles vs 6 superior.
But when you have a su-27sm vs f-15c situation, where one jet have 12 superior missiles vs 8 inferior - this is a joke of a balance.
Now we have this situation when f-15ex could get 16 arh missiles vs 12 arh missiles on sm2 but its suddenly becomes a problem for you. And its not even unfair because one have better off-bore capabilities and another one have better long range bvr potential.
This is all we need to know about ussr larpers - nothing but hypocrisy.
Except it didn’t?
That’s literally a skill issue. If we talk about release days - multipath was at 100 meters, evading R-24R was as easy as a sparrow, but Phantom had triple the amount of missiles.
because that’s the only thing that MiG-23 has on them
Sure, let’s not forget R-60Ms that can be easily one-flared and only work at extremely close distances compared to 9Gs with amazing gimbal limits, range that allows you to launch them from beyond average player “bubble of awareness” and they still are maneuverable enough for a player to no evade them simply by turning.
9M is inferior to R-73s? Missile with the best IRCCM at release that liteally created “orbital strike” meta is inferior to a missile that flatspins and gets one flared unless under very specific circumstances?
R-77 that was barely effective past 15km is more effective than 120A that, again, literally created meta of F-15s climbing to the stratosphere and collecting 3-4 kills without any brain activity? And 27SM at the release didn’t even had 8 R-77s, it only had 6 compared to F-15 with 8 120s.
it’s not a problem for me, it’s a problem for game balance, claiming otherwise is hypocricy.
This year i played USA like 75% of my time.
I see the argument for both and the razbam analogy is good.
Personally I would like to see the maws installed. Using the jet for CAS in today’s environment the help is greatly appreciated. Sometimes with air spawns you can be fired on milliseconds after spawning and you have no way to defend from something like iris. The SM-SV being a huge predator to jets without it.
I have been flying the Strike Eagle a lot in the last few weeks and it’s literally impossible to tell when you are being shot at by either of those. (Unless you visually see it, but that’s hard to do miles from the battle space)
On the other hand for air RB I am like you, I don’t care too much for it. MAWS constantly deploying CM for missiles that I’m not too worried about means I turn it off every time I spawn in.
But in this scenario since it was already mounted to the first EX, tested fully, operational fully and especially since all of the hard points are there pre wired and set up for it. I believe is should be there.
Not to mention that the “IA” will be purchased with it spec’d and future batches of EX will more than likely be ordered with it. And older ones retrofitted. Similar to EPAWSS being installed in older eagles.

i was about to answer to your message constructively, but then i saw this. Constructive dialogue with a troll and rage baiter is impossible.

That’s the worst you can do, but OK
But I agree with everything except the part about the AIM-9M and the R-73, they’re completely different missiles. For me the AIM-9M is still superior to the R-73. It’s more a question of playstyle.
I still love how people think that just by firing flares, the missile loses its lock
no
The problem is he havnt even realised what happened on this video. I usually use it to check if the person is smart enough or not.
And there is a clear interconnection between k/b score of a person and his game knowledge. If I could just check it earlier, I wouldnt even bother talking to him.
No, there isn’t. Honestly, it’s a useless metric that depends on how hard you’re trying and how you’re playing. I’ve got something like 1Kd or 0.9 because I simply don’t have the patience and I’m constantly pushing things to the limit
But I agree he is bad
I’ve seen a video on youtube saying that the F-15IA can equip 12 AMRAAMs and 4 Derbys. Is it true? can someone that has the F-15IA confirm?
Yes it’s true, and it has been bug-reported.
Just another oversight by developers - probably.
?
No, it didn’t
Correct. One of the mods on russian forum already confirmed its a bug.
