Even before 120 buffs, it was superior to majority of planes at its BR bar the 30SM. It was inevitable to be 15.0 this patch.
Does not matter in arb and grb, maps are 128km maximum.
You can’t even lock and fire beyond 128km (hardcoded). This was tested in NE.
well youre comparing flankers which have double the missiles of f16s, to the ef2k which only has 4 less fox 3s than the f15ge, and only 2 less total missiles
well you brought up detection range man, i know it hardly matters but you mentioned it in the first place
I brought up detection in general (its ability to spot people) which is mostly the same for aesa radars. The gimbal is an advantage, but mostly for closer jousts. Arguably less of an advantage than more missiles, however.
The E2K can’t launch beyond 60 degrees anyways. Making gimbal advantage mostly relegated to datalink.
all 14.3 jets were objectively just very mid, it was just the least smelly piece of garbage in the trashcan

Yes, but you still have to pull in to launch them due to aim-120b/c launch limits. True offbore gimbal joust is rafale (with its 90 degree IR hmd micas) and SM2.
the launch limits arent that bad if we’re being honest though, only have to turn the nose a tiny bit most of the time
also the only reason the euros dont have 120ds right now is specifically to make the us 14.3s less garbage in comparison
But it does make it so that you have to pull in a bit more than the CGE to launch your missile, which is what i meant by diminished benefit.
All in all, regardless, it performed better than basically all the 14.3/14.7, so it is 15.0. That’s the reality of it. We can debate more, but it won’t change that.
well the cge wont even be able to get a lock because its 70 degrees gimbal vs 100, id take the euro with the worse launch limits on the c5s than the ge with the overall worse radar in every situation
Doesn’t matter, because 100 gimbal is useless before launch if you have to pull to 60 to launch at all.

well mig 29s are completely diff planes though, these are both f15s, its not like youre really getting much of a fm difference
