But yeah, @quartas121 the idea is to go perpindicular to the missiles and toss chaff at 'em.

If you have the “Missile Defeated” message enabled, that typically tells you when something is notched or has missed, if that doesn’t come up, whenever the RWR stops beeping (and the missile isn’t in a RWR deadzone), you should have defeated it.

should i side climb? thats what i do when i climb but is it worth it?

I mean you could.

I don’t, since

  1. The enemies would be offset at an angle, making it easier for them to notch your radar
  2. Top tier jets tend to be really good at climbing, especially, when they get up to speed
  3. If you side climb, you won’t be doing BVR with your team, which could put your team at a disadvantage.

You could try and do stuff with the HMD and AMRAAM, but that would suck alot of energy out of the missile, so it’d be a struggle to do BVR.

Of course, there is the other option of just going low and fast. Only popping up to slam AMRAAMs into the face of anyone who dares fly above multipath level.
But then you have to deal with… the trees.
