F-15 Eagle: History, Performance & Discussion

I think not, FbW has made it safer to fly but the AoA values should remain similar.

50-60 degrees is already an uncontrolled stall. This means that true Aa will be much lower than this value.

This is an AoA overshoot, after which the aircraft returns to a stable AoA value which is lower.

On minute 5 i can see atleast 70-80 degrees of AOA

That is not even 40

Bro. Is cobra 90?

AoA / velocity vector for Cobra on MiG-29 is only around 60° likewise the true AoA in this video is deceptively low

That flow chart is unscientific at best. There is forward motion when nose is 90° from the ground, true AoA is closer to 60°. Airflow is fully detached over the main wing.

Ok

i see about 70-80 AoA, nice

I mean. I see it being close to a cobra. Idk what M23 has to say about that

Videos like this make it appear to be higher than it is, someone already tried suggesting the Gripen was capable of a Cobra in their thread doing something similar.

the f15E can carry less 500 pound bombs than the f15a and f15c very depressing

Can anyone also make a bug report regarding radar MFD’s of C and E, we are missing a TON of details.

During development, yes, but otherwise it is electronically limited

I remembered many years ago, in Korea or Singapore had an F-15 perform a Cobra, this photo was taken

No any landmarks. Is there enough angle to notch radars?

For me, the F-15 will not do the cobra maneuver, but it is possible to get well above 40 AoA in certain situations.
The photo above probably shows something like that.
