do the CFT AMBER racks actually work? and can they come to C and E?
since iirc they are modified BRU-61 which we know for sure can be carried on the E and probably can be carried by C
There was F-15C photo with amber mockups. I think it’s possible to integrate amber to old aircrafts, but it will require weapon control system modification. Mockups are not enough as proof.
ah ok. but ingame ones are fairly new though due to JHMCS and GBU-39 no?
I am not sure that “MOAR AMRAMS” are integrated into F-15s other than F-15QA/SA/IA/EX.
well to be fair, all the weapon system stuff is standardized. its based on teh BRU-61 which we know for a fact can be carried by a standard E, it just has different wiring, and im pretty sure those hardpoints have the proper wiring to work with AAM
Why F-15E has only one pilot in game? Because rear seat controls are limited IRL or what?
Because of gaijin
Theres report about that, from dev server even probably
Hotas is limited. Otherwise not but you lose hud and hmd and you dont really see infront. If they added second pilot, they should also remove gunsight and lock indication in third person and where ir seeker looks aswell once front person dies. You should have access only to radar UI indication and rwr with limited visual spotting to the front.
That is incorrect.
The HOTAS is only limited in the sense that you must transition to the left hand controller instead of having everything directly on the throttle.
The HUD and forward visibility is still available through the MFDs, with usage of the FLIR page and HUD repeater offering a gunsight.
Hi guys!
Firstly, happy holidays to you all!
I had a question relating to the star-up sequence of the F15. I was playing around in DCS, but I am not an experienced player and more familiar with this forum, so that’s why I am posting this here. When looking at start-up sequence videos for jets, I see a lot of battery switches that need to be turned on. However, I never had to do this playing the F15E. Basically, turn on the ENG Master, Control and Gen switches and make sure the JSF starter switch is on. But never had I to turn on the battery. So is there anyone who would know how this would go in real life? Is there a battery switch that needs to be turned on, or is the JSF starter handle mechanically connected to start the JSF?
Without navflir, you have repeater with TD box and NOTHING else (we dont have navflir), no camera, nothing, hud on black screen, thats not viable for AA gunnery. Main stick is literally missing all AA functions. It gets stick from F-15A on WSO spot. No ACM, no setting MFD as SOI on main stick. It literally has NO HOTAS on rear seat. Rear seat is meant to fly and preferably land if there is need for it. NOT FOR FIGHTING.
I would be happy if they just gave it the litening 2 like all other top tier cas Planes
It’s worth it to take the next step. The Sniper ATP as we have the Litening III in the game. When the F/A-18 comes we can get the Litening AT
F-15E, a strike plane, having a worse targeting pod than not only the F-16C, a fighter, but also a way worse targeting pod that the new fighters, Eurofighter and Rafale, is a disgrace
Question is if gaijin would want to take the next steep
So I settle for a Common solution(given the amount of litening 2 Users) and the f15E Being a Very Good cas plane and will probably be the best in the game even if Only given litening 2
So I think giving it something better than litening 2 would make it way to overpowered
The lantirn is just horrible
I know the Russians have worse like everything the su22/su17 has
But the problem with the lantirn (same has the f14b)is not it’s zoom or resolution but the awful fov
So it’s impossible to find targets+ the aiming speed is also Very Slow(is there a setting I missed?)
Yea also the fact with the av8b night attack you can get the litening 2 at 11.3-11.7
So yea Being stuck with lantirn at 14.0/12.7 isn’t fun or understandable
For a pilot oriented picture, for a given aircraft configuration at 305+ knots, the Eagle can reach 9g, but not sustained.
The achieved AoA will be over 40 degrees ( the conversion of AoA units to truel degrees is not linear - 10).
Maximum AoA overshoot in certain situations can be as high as 50-60 true AoA.
Ehh. Close enough. You add the fly-by-wire and the F-15EX can do a cobra
