1980’s tech yes. Replaced by AN/ALQ-153.
Are you sure they weren’t just plans/provisions for them?
It was in F-15A manual IIRC.
As far as I can tell the plan to install that on the F-15 was scrapped, and either way that is from WAY before the EPAWSS system, not related.

These guys. The Americans have missiles floating tech now. Maybe they found a patent on alien floating technology, and it was actually installed on the Golden Eagle, unlike AMBER
hard to get hyped about future US aircraft considering how bad amraams are modelled.
Does the Golden Eagle have AESA? I thought it was supposed to.
ofc lol thats literally the only thing it got besides bol
Well.
There is reason to hype… about F-22 and only if it gets significantly earlier than other 5th gen.
Like, with Su–35 for example.
It still will be inferior to current top dog(rafailure), but way better than current US options
I seriously expect the F-22 to be the best aircraft in the game, likely followed by either the Su-57 or the J-35, I lean towards the J-35 based on armament, perceived credibility of 5th gen technology, and information likely to be available in the near future as China releases more on it to really emphasise the credibility of Fujian and Type 004. I think then it will be followed by the J-20, then the F-35. Suspect the F-15EX will be irrelevant in that battlefield and EFT and Rafale only loosely relevant.
Can’t shoot at something you can’t see and I think we’re a long way off a comprehensive IRST interface redesign/buff for PIRATE and OSF, there isn’t enough on Legion to make it a factor and as far as I’d heard it imposed AoA restrictions on the F-15 airframe.
idk about that
the info we know about the f22 and rafailure would put the f22 solidly ahead in both bvr and dogfighting
and it would definitely be ahead in missile count 6 internal ARH and 2 internal IR + at least 4 external of either
Most of what we have is pilot testimonies which gaijin disregard.
However do we know if there are any pilots that have flown both. I know its a rarity generally for foreign pilots to fly US-owned stealth fighters with like 10 counts between the F-35 and F-22 combined.
It might only be exchanges between the RAF and the RAAF and the USAF which checks out from a trust and security PoV.
not really
we have decent values for thrust and weight
along with known planform area, and reasonable estimations for Oswald efficiency and Cd0 we can figure out a lot about how they preform
Gaijin dosent care about any of that
Just come to peace with the fact that it will be impossible to report the fm of 5th gens
true
but they dont care much about reality either anymore
Not really.
In game rafailure has HMD and better ARH.
Rapetor wouldnt be better outside of skillcheck amraam launches from long range and gun only dogfight.
It will. But only specific datapoints like acceleration
Tbf if rafale gets HMD there’s a very high likelihood that F-22 does as well. It tested it in 2014 and the MLU program is fitting it to Raptors in service in Hawaii this year. The real issue would the amraam just not pulling…
any info on amraam off rail maneuverability/fin aoa performance?
i wish we could make our own radar presets
