Without the arsenal she has, what makes it a D?
Where’s aim54mk60 9m and 7p? Even as the only user of AIM54 and latest variant of which, she’s still not getting the most advanced variant of phoenix? Why?

On spaa only. And its modelled like 9m with thrust vector I think. No super duper modern tech.
i think it gets both types of IRCCM but im not 100% sure, just something ive heard

It does, it gets shutoff and a very powerful FOV clamp. (A lot more than the R-73 etc.)

yeah, IIR isn’t modelled yet so that is basically a stopgap as far as im aware (not a gaijin dev)
and DL i think was added during its dev server release, it was Blk1 → Blk2?
Either way the F-14s weren’t cleared for 9X so I don’t think its a possibility anyways

Python 5, RB-98, IRIS-T SL, AIM-9X, FB-10/A get the same IRCCM. The other ones like stingers have a lot weaker FOV clamp (1.25 on stingers vs 0.25 on 9X/IRIS-T)

And how does it differ? None of the Tomcats have ‘top-level combat performance’, measured in BR.
They dont have top level performance, but sub-par performance compared to their peers.
Not exactly great for such an iconic aircraft

Yeah, believe me this thread knows it well
Seems that gaijin are too hard focused on it being a premium that no compromise for better equipment is considered as to not risk having issue with its loadouts and thats causing a lot of issues

It is technically better than its peers if you are only on about the other tomcats
However it is worse than every other plane at the br besides maybe the 2nd/3rd gen amraam slingers
So it is against what BvvD said from a certain point of view

Most disappointing news I have read regarding the F-14D.
I was expecting AIM-7P, AIM-9M, and AIM-54C+… not a premium F-14B with a fancier radar.
Do better, Gaijin.
