They can always use Fatter , which is AIM-9L (or M equivalent) … In theory P4/P5 equivalent… it won’t even need change BR.
No… they never upgraded cockpits.

It is exactly same as original cockpit.

This isn’t an F-14AM cockpit. Just a normal F-14A.
I’m pretty sure everyone knows this already. Since Gaijin doesn’t like the F-14s I’m sure they’d be glad to take it away… Unless that bumps the IRIAF down to 12.7/12.3.

AD-40A is the export version and has a different motor and potentially a different seeker.
Obviously nobody’s gonna buy it, so it’s more of a PR move (“we offer air to air missiles for export”) …

One of rare photo Iranian F-14A has AN/ALR-23 IR seeker.
Of course, I can’t share it on this forum, but strangely enough, it’s exactly the same photo used on the cover of NAVAIR 01-F14AAA-1(IR).

Neat, The French F-8 (F-8E(FN) & F-8P) manuals are the same with their IR Blister (AAS-15) installed, as delivered. Though it was removed before being accepted into squadron service.
In this case, seems IR seeker wasn’t deliver to Iran.
It was just test purpose after rollout from Grummans factory.

We clearly have one well into Iranian service considering it’s loadout, so I think it’s unlikely to come.

It depends.
If Gaijin will model Iranian F-14A pre IIAF service, it may comes. However, They never got AN/ALR-23 after delivered to Iran and waited TCS.

It should be in US because serial number on tail section is different from IIAF/IRIAF one.
AFAIK, 3-863(BuNo.160229) was first build of F-14A(IR) and renumbered as 3-6001 when it was delivered to IIAF.
That thing is the Pandora’s box of War Thunder.
I wonder if the devs knew the precedent they were setting
