The F-14 in full wing sweep bleeds a lot of speed in turns. So, if he does the standard F-14 thing of dumping all of his missiles and then turning cold, he’s bled enough of his speed in that turn for things to start catching him, even if only temporarily.
Yes, because that was it’s whole thing when it was introduced. It was the king of energy, and high altitude combat in particular. Keeping in mind that, when it was introduced, it was at (or near) top tier IIRC.
Doesn’t mean the F1C is slow by the standards of 12.0. It’s definitely among the fastest there, and can even keep up with most of the stuff it sees in uptiers.
