@Bulletspam
I’m comparing the difference between Phoenix and AIM-120 to that of AIM-7D vs AIM-7F.
Which is an apt comparison.
Claiming that AIM-54 is anywhere close to as good as AIM-120 is pure navy propaganda.
If it was then F-18 would have integration.
Yeah, you seem to draw a bunch of apples to oranges comparison. The phoenix has pros and cons over the aim-120. The aim-7f is a straight upgrade to the aim-7d.
I mean, it’s still a mig-29. It’s a 12.0 airframe with a lot of upgrades.
The F-4F ICE is a 10.3 airframe with a lot of upgrades and they see the exact same enemies(thanks to the BR compression I talked about earlier)
If the F-4F ICE was 12.3 then it would get a few downtiers so I could understand, but at 12.7 the MM always puts it at 13.0
lol F-4F ICE is an 11.0 aircraft with a lot of upgrades.
Mig-29SMT is a bloated 12.0 airframe which brings it down to 11.3 at best.
If F-4F ICE was 12.3 then Mig-29SMT would have to be 12.7 for balance.
I feel like you’re misunderstanding my intent. The point is that they are essentially the same BR(not that I’m trying to have the F-4F ICE moved down)
And yes, the F-4F is a upgraded 10.3 airframe(F-4F early is 10.3 and the F-4F late is 10.7)
The MiG-29SMT is an update on a 12.0 airframe. Moving it up to 13.0 is a much smaller jump the. 10.3 to 12.7
Mig-29SMT is not a 12.0 airframe though.
Mig-29 9.12 is an 11.7 airframe at 12.0 due to its R-27ERs.
Thus Mig-29SMT would be 11.3 if it didn’t have R-73s, R-27ERs, and R-77s.
Just as F-4F/F-4E are 10.7/11.0 airframes.
The only reason F-4F Early is 10.3 is due to lack of flares, it’s still a 10.7/11.0 airframe.
you dont either.
The F-4F is a 10.3 airframe because it’s at 10.3
The MIG-29 is a 12.0 airframe because it’s at 12.0
Im not sure where the confusion is coming from
F-4F is at 10.7, not 10.3.
The one without flares is 10.3.
By your logic, Mig-29SMT is a 10.7 airframe if you remove its flares.
Mig-29SMT is not 12.0, the superior airframe is 12.0.
I know. I never claimed to.
What are you talking about?
The lowest mig-29 is 12.0 and the lowest f-4f is 10.3
I’m going by the literal placement of vehicles in the game.
The F-4F is a 10.3 airframe and the mig-29 is a 12.0 airframe, why is this up for debate?
By your logic, F16A, ADF, and AJ(MLU) shouldnt in the same BR
They’re all the same loadout and base airframe.
@CodyBlues
Mig-29 9.12 is irrelevant, we’re talking about SMT which isn’t a Mig-29 9.12 airframe.
Just as an F-16 with conformal fuel tanks attached isn’t an F-16C airframe anymore.
You seem incapable of acknowledging basic facts.
Prove that a 10.3 F-4F has flares, I’ll wait.
oh, i dont know that F16A/ADF can take AIM7 and AGM65 at the same time, and also that F16A can take GBU8 and AGM65 together but others cant
Absolutely OP. You just get sniped from across the globe or from orbit. And even if you are close, that F-14 will shoot a fricking swarm of missiles at you. Because my pilots on jets are like Crew Level 1-8 or so, I do not see any enemies in Air RB until I fly up their ass, did not realize I was flying right towards an F-14, could dodge one or two missiles just now in my shiny new wallet pencil (Starfigher) but not the other four. And I keep seeing F-14’s just creaming everyone. Air RB feels so pointless rn, you are Tomcat fodder, end of story.
Thats entirely on you, by the time you reach 10.7-12.7 you should’ve decent crew for your jet.
Whatever
You do you.
Perhaps look into the sky and see the telltale contrails from the F-14s and their missiles. You are now aware that you could come under attack from ARH missiles. Also, not being the fastest plane to the center of the map will help keep you from being targeted by Pheonixes, since usually they are launched at the closest headon planes from the airfield.
If you are relying on your crew to spot planes to engage, you might wanna stay below 11.3 where BVR becomes much more common. You’ll never see the plane you target if you do things right.
Generally I J out then. Unfair and pointless.
