I personally hate fake crap so, never.
I hope the F-14s get the updated vapors. The feature has been in “testing” for far too long it’s pretty unacceptable.
there is a sale that started today and will go until november 8th
(f-14 is also on sale)
[DEV] AN/ALR-45 - Missing Tracking/Missile Launch Warning sound
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/y7eBpGv0JSRN
From my knowledge, this is what F-14A and Navy Phantoms RWR should sounds
This is what I gets when I used NAVAIR -1 manual from 1975, which is one of oldest flight manual that is available atm.

Honestly, Gaijin…. WTF?
A certain user (who’s likely a mod) got the NS001 radar suite’s TWS 3 zone azimuth updated in the last major patch using non-public sources. It fixed transition smoothing and removed the three horizontal sectors without ever going through an official bug report.
One standard for us, another for them
you mean the ones he posted on the forum?
and that i even linked you before
The point is, posting photos of a document on a forum doesn’t suddenly make it a “public” source. That manual he has isn’t accessible to everyone it seems. They literally admitted they can’t share the full book because someone bought it privately. Paying money for a private copy doesn’t make it open access.
The point is that info was used as if it was “PUBLIC” and got it passed through.
On that N001 subject:
In search mode, you can’t smoothly place the azimuth scan zone wherever you want between the three discrete sectors like you can with elevation. People seem to see the word “automatic” and just assume continuous positioning is a thing.
If pilots could freely move the scan zone between sectors, why do dedicated LEFT / MIDDLE / RIGHT buttons even exist? They’re there specifically so the pilot can jump between fixed sectors, not for smooth manual adjustments. Tracking a target smoothly across sectors after a lock is a completely different mechanic than free scan zone control during search mode.
Another uploaded image from another manual showed the radar control providing updates to the pilot, which is almost certainly what “automatic” actually refers to: updates from ground control GCI.
There’s zero explanation for how a pilot would physically control continuous azimuth movement. You would think DCS would have this feature too but they don’t.
ah yes DCS the game that couldnt even get the RWR of the Su-33 right
DCS is not a source, even less so for FC3 aircraft
or rather they dont want to publicly share a book bc 1st that is illegal and can get you sued and 2nd it was paid for so sharing it for free would completely disvalue it
there are a bunch of reports from ppl where they wont share the source with you bc it is a rare source or they had to pay for it
You literally proved my point.
Look at Gaijin’s rules in that screenshot: a report requires images of the cover, document details, and all referenced pages. If the owner won’t post it because “it would disvalue a paid or rare book,” then by Gaijin’s own guidelines, it doesn’t meet the criteria for a valid submission. Keeping a source private to protect its resale value makes it a restricted source, not a public one.
Back to the N001: there’s still zero explanation for how a pilot would actually input continuous azimuth positioning in search mode. The LEFT / MIDDLE / RIGHT buttons exist for a reason, and continuous tracking across sectors post-lock is a completely different mechanic than free scan zone control while searching.
more like you are just making stuff up
if the owner of the book is ok with a bug report when gaijin isnt going to share those images, dosent mean that the owner of the book is ok with sharing the whole book on a forum
DCS has problems but using the oldest models in the game as an example is hardly fair.
